Accounts Receivable Trainer
What's the Short Version?
The Accounts Receivable Trainer possesses in-depth knowledge of the Credit Department policies and procedures, ensuring comprehension among Credit team members. The Accounts Receivable Trainer collaborates with Leadership and the training team to design, create, and facilitate training programs.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Participate in the Accounts Receivable hiring process, including interviews, onboarding, curriculum development, training schedules, and implementation of training for new staff.
- Coordinate and conduct training for existing AR team members through refresher courses, videos, and one-on-one trainings using SanMar University in the Litmos program.
- Evaluate representatives’ knowledge, identify skill gaps, and tailor training to enhance work performance.
- Maintain accurate information in systems such as Confluence, Spokane, and Clothesline, ensuring alignment with current policies and procedures.
- Provide support to the AR Team as needed, covering Collection work, order approval, phone/email coverage, account maintenance, research, and check copies.
- Ensure effective communication across the Credit team, including new hires, trainer helpers, supervisors, and managers.
- Deliver high-level service to SanMar’s customers and employees in line with SanMar’s commitment to customer service and our Family Values.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

What Are We Looking For?
- 4-6 years full Account Receivable cycle or collection experience.
- Proficient in D365, MS Teams, Salesforce, Cybersource, ASM, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset with a history of finding mutually acceptable solutions.
- Demonstrated de-escalation and negotiation skills.
- Strong time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.

What's Our Offer?
Salary Range: You`ll earn between $25.00 - $33.65 (WA, NJ); $23.00 - $30.96 (MN, NV, TX, VA); $21.50 - $28.94 (AZ, ID, FL MT, OH, TN) on an hourly basis, depending on experience.
Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 5% of base salary.
Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

Remote: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to work on computer for multiple hours with frequent interruptions. SanMar's Eastpointe office is located near Seattle, WA and our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Quarterly travel may be required.
