Manager, Recruiting
What's the Short Version?
The Manager, Recruiting plays a driving role in supporting the growth of one of SanMar's most important assets, our people! They are the ambassador of our recruiting process, ensuring a candidate experience that truly represents our Family Values. They work directly with communities, candidates, the recruiting team, and business leaders.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Build, engage, manage, and develop a team of high-performing recruiting team members.
- Manage the development and execution of comprehensive recruiting strategies that will help the company attract and hire top talent.
- Drive proactive sourcing strategies for both active and passive candidates through employee referrals, networking, internal databases, and innovative research tactics.
- Create, measure, and scale a workflow between candidates, hiring managers and the recruiting team.
- Ensure that business leaders prioritize position requirements and make trade-offs by using solid judgment in balancing quality and speed when filling requisitions.
- Serve as an escalation point to manage through any challenging hiring scenarios or complex business needs.
- Provide recruiting recommendations and support to distribution center recruiters to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to successfully meet staffing needs.
- Manage our Contingent Workforce Strategy, including agency relationships, contracting, negotiations, and experience lifecycle.
- Track metrics and pipeline activity to create and showcase reporting to various partners.
- Leverage technology to establish best practices and drive productivity across recruiting team.
- Establish key relationships with department partners including Legal, Accounting, IT, Compliance and HRIS.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
What Are We Looking For?
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
- 7-9 years of recruiting and/or Human Resources experience.
- 1-3 years of leading a team is preferred.
- Knowledge of current federal, state and local labor laws.
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence others.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills that simply convey complex ideas.
- Personal ethical character that is effective, credible, and genuine.
- Ability to demonstrate complete confidentiality and discretion.
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
- Strong business acumen that is people focused.
- Understanding of diversity and inclusion practices.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines.
What's Our Offer?
Salary Range: You`ll earn between $105,000 - $150,000 annually, depending on experience.
Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 15% of base salary.
Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a bi-weekly basis based on hours worked up to 152 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

What Should You Expect?
Hybrid: SanMar's Eastpointe office is located in Issaquah, WA in the Seattle metropolitan area. Employees are required to work in our offices Tuesday through Thursday each week and additional days may be added based on business needs. Our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work environment is moderately quiet. Ability to work on computer for multiple hours with frequent interruptions. Quarterly travel may be required.
