Software Developer
What's the Short Version?
The Software Developer is responsible for translating requirements into software designs, developing computer software and helping define SanMar's software development practices. This role also maintains awareness of emerging and evolving technologies that can assist SanMar in reaching its business goals.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Develop software for SanMar’s applications, interfaces and databases.
- Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
- Perform manual and automated testing.
- Implement and maintain web-based applications to support the project's requirements.
- Design, develop, and unit test complex validation checks, rules, workflow customizations, and reports.
- Participate in functional/system requirements gathering and peer code reviews.
- Release software to different environments, debug software-related issues in production, and fix defects.
- Integrate data from third-party data providers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
What Are We Looking For?
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of software development and design experience
- Experience with building web services, data-centric software systems, user interfaces and/or message-oriented middleware
- Experience in Agile-styled software development is preferred
- Strong software design and development skills, object-oriented preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Can demonstrate problem solving and analytical skills
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Works well as an individual and in a team
What's Our Offer?
Salary Range: You`ll earn between $100,000 - $140,000 annually, depending on experience.
Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary.
Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a bi-weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

What Should You Expect?
Hybrid: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work environment is moderately quiet. Ability to work on computer for multiple hours with frequent interruptions.
SanMar's Eastpointe office is located near Seattle, WA and our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Quarterly travel may be required.
