DSaP Developer
What's the Short Version?
The DSaP Developer is responsible for working directly with stakeholders in Distribution, IT, and other SanMar Business areas to develop, design, improve, and support the technology-based solutions of SanMar's distribution facing systems and processes. This role is key in ensuring solutions are maximized for stability, scale, and performance. Operational requirements include a general understanding of inventory optimization concepts, and a functional knowledge of distribution best practices. Technically, the position requires an understanding of SQL, database concepts, enterprise reporting platforms, and web application development plus, an understanding of distribution delivery components like RF, voice, label generation, warehouse management, and parcel management.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Work across all stakeholder areas to translate business requirements into high performing solutions that meet the business needs and ensure the best operational practice.
- Monitor, identify, design, and deliver changes to system environments from end user feedback to improve software performance and fix software defects.
- Act as consultant and change steward in the optimization of current solutions and the technical development of new solutions.
- Provide day-to-day delivery of system features and functionality to improve distribution performance, throughput and quality.
- Design, code, debug, review, and unit test Distribution facing systems.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and refresh platform and infrastructure components as needed.
- Define and document test cases as required for build verification; cross-functional involvement in build and User Acceptance testing activities as required.
- Work closely with IT support analysts, DC staff, and DSaP team members to quickly research, diagnose, and troubleshoot real-time issues, including equipment, platform, or application related issues.
- Provide Tier III functional support for Distribution or IT related incidents with the awareness to escalate to other technical resources as appropriate.
- Provide onsite hands-on guidance and support for floor-level implementations, enhancements, and issue resolution as needed.
- Create quality documentation on systems, tools, and processes for internal team and IT Service Desk use.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

What Are We Looking For?
- Bachelor's Degree in IT/Computer Science, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of experience in SQL Server development and/or administration
- Experience in C#, .Net, PHP, or similar object-oriented programming language
- Experience in scripting and automation utilizing Microsoft PowerShell is preferred
- Solid subject matter expertise on the functional use of technology-based distribution systems: experience with solutions such as Infios / Körber (HighJump) / WMS, Voice and RF WMS equipment or other point-of-pick hardware, ProShip / Parcel management, Conveyor hardware/software interfaces, Databases/reporting tools
- T-SQL query development experience in a mixed environment desired
- Knowledge of modern HTML/CSS desired
- Experience working with MariaDB / MySQL databases desired
- Experience with message queueing and structured data formats including XML and JSON is desired
- Understanding of database administration and database modeling concepts
- Demonstrated ability and flexibility to quickly, and constructively, adapt to change and ambiguity in the work environment
- Organized, thorough, detailed, self-sufficient problem solver
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel occasionally, maximum = 50%
What's Our Offer?
Salary Range: You`ll earn between $100,000 - $140,000 annually, depending on experience.
Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary.
Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a bi-weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

What Should You Expect?
Remote: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to work on computer for multiple hours with frequent interruptions. SanMar's Eastpointe office is located near Seattle, WA and our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Quarterly travel may be required.
