System Administrator, Distribution
What's the Short Version?
The System Administrator, DSaP is responsible for working directly with stakeholders in Distribution, IT, other SanMar Business areas, and external vendors to deliver, configure, maintain, and support the technology-based solutions of SanMar's distribution facing systems and processes. This role supports the Distribution Systems and Processes (DSaP) team with ensuring Distribution solutions are maximized for stability, redundancy, and performance.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Provide day-to-day delivery of system features and functionality to improve Distribution performance, throughput, and quality.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and refresh platform and infrastructure components as needed.
- Conduct, define and document test cases as required for build verification; cross-functional involvement in build and User Acceptance testing activities as required.
- Work closely with IT support analysts, DC staff, and 3rd party vendors to quickly research, diagnose, and troubleshoot real-time issues, including equipment, platform, or application related issues.
- Provide primary on-call Tier III functional support for Distribution or IT related incidents with the awareness to escalate to other technical resources as appropriate.
- Manage related software accounts including new accounts, updates to existing accounts, account terminations, and audits to ensure compliance and security.
- Conduct device and peripheral training and support to Distribution staff as needed.
- Provide onsite hands-on guidance and support for floor-level implementations, enhancements, and issue resolution as needed.
- Communicate infrastructure project status and incident resolution steps to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Create quality documentation on systems, tools, and processes for internal team and IT Service Desk use.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

What Are We Looking For?
- Bachelor's Degree in IT/computer science or Supply Chain or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years experience supporting technology-based distribution systems including Körber (HighJump)/WMS software, Voice and RF WMS equipment or other point-of-pick hardware, ProShip/Parcel management software, Label generation tools such as Bartender or Minisoft, Conveyor hardware/software interfaces, or equivalent industry solutions
- Working knowledge of Windows Server administration
- Knowledge of integration, middleware, and/or messaging topologies
- Understanding of network technologies such as load balancing, network/socket communication
- Ability to write basic to intermediate queries using SQL server or MySQL
- RDMS experience with MS SQL Server and MySQL preferred
- Experience with PowerShell scripting
- Ability to develop and deploy system enhancements utilizing SDLC and source control tools
- Customer service functional and/or technical support experience
- Demonstrated ability and flexibility to quickly, and constructively, adapt to change and ambiguity in the work environment
- Appropriate sense of urgency and prioritization with a passion for problem solving
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of individuals across the company and external vendors
- Flexible with schedule, able to provide off-hours support either remotely, or onsite, as needed
- Ability to travel when needed, maximum = 50% or less
What's Our Offer?
Salary Range: You`ll earn between $80,170 - $105,000 annually, depending on experience.
Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary.
Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a bi-weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

What Should You Expect?
Remote: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to work on computer for multiple hours with frequent interruptions. SanMar's Eastpointe office is located near Seattle, WA and our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Quarterly travel may be required.
