About the Role: We are seeking an experienced IBM iSeries AS/400 Specialist to join our dynamic team for a 12-month contract with potential for extension. This role is crucial for managing system updates, upgrades, migration, and sunsetting activities, with a significant emphasis on migrating to a new cloud-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform system updates and upgrades for IBM iSeries (AS/400) systems.
• Lead the migration of legacy systems to cloud-based solutions, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
• Manage the sunset process for outdated systems, including data archiving and system decommissioning.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures for migration and system maintenance.
• Monitor system performance post-migration and make adjustments as necessary to optimize operations.
• Provide training and support to other team members on the new cloud environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with IBM iSeries (AS/400) systems, including system administration, updates, and migrations.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies and experience in migrating legacy systems to the cloud.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
