Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Workday Developer / HRIT Security Analyst to join our global HRIT team. This hybrid role combines deep technical expertise in Workday integrations with hands-on security configuration and governance, ensuring our Workday platform remains robust, compliant, and scalable. You'll work closely with HR, IT, compliance, and security teams to drive process improvements, enforce privacy regulations, and optimize the user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, and APIs.

  • Administer Workday security configurations, including domain policies, role-based access, authentication policies, and audit controls.

  • Implement and maintain SSO (Okta) and authentication policies aligned with enterprise standards.

  • Collaborate with HR, IT, compliance, privacy, and business stakeholders to support security initiatives aligned with GDPR, SOX, GLBA, DORA, and other global regulations.

  • Respond to internal and external audits and assessments, coordinating evidence gathering and remediation plans.

  • Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting of security and integration issues within Workday.

  • Ensure Workday tenant management best practices, and drive continuous improvements and risk mitigation in HRIT processes.

  • Follow change management procedures to promote updates to production environments.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including policies, controls, workflows, security protocols, and user guides.

  • Monitor and interpret Workday releases and updates, assessing the impact on security and integration configurations.

  • Provide mentorship and serve as a point of escalation for complex Workday security issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working with Workday, focusing on integrations and security.

  • Advanced proficiency with Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, custom reports, and Workday APIs.

  • Demonstrated experience in configuring security groups, domain policies, business process security, and role-based access controls.

  • Strong understanding of HCM, compensation, benefits, time off, and performance management modules.

  • Solid experience in Workday tenant management, SSO/Okta configuration, and data governance.

  • Hands-on experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, GDPR, DORA) and security frameworks.

  • Strong analytical, investigative, and documentation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, and communicate effectively with stakeholders across business and technical functions.

  • Experience working with global vendors and third-party partners.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience required. Master’s or Workday Pro Certification (Security or Platform Admin) is a plus.

  • Advanced English (spoken and written) is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading security audits and developing security and privacy policies and procedures.

  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to foster relationships and build consensus across functions.

  • Proven ability to stay current with evolving Workday security threats, tools, and technologies.

  • Ability to create effective metrics and monitoring dashboards for security performance.

  • Early expertise in presentation development and stakeholder reporting is a plus.
