Social Media Manager
Social Media Manager, Contractor, 90 Day Engagement
Sapience AI | Seattle area or remote
About Sapience AI
Sapience AI builds the platform for collective professional intelligence, helping membership organizations turn what their people know into what their people can do. We are a small, fast- moving team building toward our global product Launch.
About the role
We are hiring a Social Media Manager to own all of our socials for Sapience AI end-to-end. You will work alongside internal teams and agencies to translate product moments, customer stories, and engineering milestones into content that earns attention across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and developer channels. You will be the only social hire on the team, which means you will edit and write copy, publish each post with appropriate social assets, monitor comments, and track metrics from each channel with reporting to senior leadership. You will have full access to Brand, Marketing, and Engineering for context and source material, however, you will create the output.
This role suits someone who thinks like a producer and writes like an editor. You can take raw assets such as product videos, screen captures, customer quotes, benchmark data, and engineering demos, and turn them into engaging, channel-ready content. You will customize each piece for the audience and the platform it is meant for.
What you will own
- Content production from raw asset to published post, including video editing, motion graphics, still design, and copywriting
- Channel strategy and publishing calendar across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and additional test channels
- Weekly performance reporting through Buffer, shared with the broader team
- Community monitoring and first line response across all owned Sapience AI channels
- Trend identification and rapid response content when relevant moments emerge
- Reporting on brand drift that includes a clear weekly account of published content that did not meet brand standards, with complete notes and what the source materials need in order to be fully on brand next time. This feedback loop is imperative for internal brand learning without slowing down critical announcements.
Required skills
- 3+ years Marketing experience with producing and publishing social content for a technology company, ideally one with developer or enterprise audiences – bonus points for work with and for AI companies
- Fluency in the Adobe Creative Suite
- Hands on experience with Buffer or similar publishing and analytics platform, including building and presenting cross-functional weekly reports
- Demonstrated ability to edit long-form product or marketing video into short-form social content that performs
- Sharp copywriting that adapts to platform, audience, and brand voice
- Comfort working independently with full ownership and minimal oversight
- Working knowledge of LinkedIn, X, and YouTube algorithms and current best practices
- Ability to read social analytics and translate performance into a clear narrative or visuals for non-social audiences
Preferred skills
- Familiarity with AI products and the language of the AI category
- Photography or video editing skills sufficient to deliver final assets from original content
- Basic understanding of paid social mechanics for amplification testing.
- Experience working alongside external agencies and contributing to integrated campaigns
- Comfort with AI tools for production support, including transcription, image generation, and copy iteration
What success looks like in the first 90 days
- Established publishing rhythm across our priority channels
- Weekly Buffer report delivered with clear takeaways and recommendations
- Library of channel ready templates built from existing brand assets
- Lead the business though 6 micro campaign launches and performance analysis.
- Weekly brand report shared with the team, with at least one upstream improvement identified for Engineering or Product
