Operations Manager, Project Delivery (Security Systems Integration)

The Operations Manager, Project Delivery (Security Systems Integration) owns the operational execution of all security integration projects and leads the Security Installation Department. This role is responsible for managing people, processes, and performance across project delivery, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, profitably, and to the highest quality standards.
This is a hands‑on leadership role for a security industry professional with deep experience managing installation teams, project managers, and field resources within a systems integration environment.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Operational & Team Leadership
- Lead and manage all personnel within the Security Installation Department, including:
- Project Managers
- Build Foremen
- Lead Technicians
- Installation Technicians
- Develop and improve processes, standards, methods, and tools to strengthen construction and installation operations.
Project Delivery & Resource Management
- Receive project opportunities from the Sales team, evaluate scope and complexity, and assign work to appropriate installation teams.
- Manage installation resources, including inventory, tools, vehicles, and staffing.
- Maintain working knowledge of the security equipment and systems being deployed.
Financial & Performance Accountability
- Ensure the fiscal health of projects by:
- Leading regular billing and cost review meetings with Project Managers
- Ensuring labor and material accuracy during proposal and project reviews
- Enforcing daily time tracking so billable hours are captured accurately
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Sales, Engineering, and Operations leadership to ensure smooth project handoff and execution.
- Participate in proposal reviews to validate labor, material assumptions, and constructability.
You’re a Strong Fit If You Have
Experience
- 5+ years leading installation and service teams within the electronic security industry
- Proven experience delivering projects involving PACS, CCTV, and Intrusion systems
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and field teams
Technical & Operational Skills
- Working knowledge of:
- Electronic security equipment and installation best practices
- Physical security terminology and operations
- Basic networking and IT infrastructure (servers, workstations, hardware, applications)
- Familiarity with project management tools such as:
- Microsoft Office
- D‑Tools
- Bluebeam
- Microsoft Project and/or HP PPM
Leadership & Execution Strengths
- Strong ability to prioritize work and balance competing deadlines
- Confident decision‑maker with strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and operational accuracy
- Comfortable working with teams at all levels - from technicians to executives
Preferred Background
- Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in electronics, construction, or business (preferred, not required)
- 8+ years experience in low-voltage, security industry environments
- Strong understanding of project management fundamentals and budget accountability
