The Role:

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager at Sauce Labs, you will lead the development and execution of GTM strategies for Sauce Platform solutions, including data analytics and AI products. This role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, to ensure the successful positioning, launch, and adoption of products. 

The Sr. PMM is responsible for understanding market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to craft compelling product messaging that resonates with target audiences and drives business growth. You will play a critical role in shaping the product’s market perception and ensuring alignment between product capabilities and customer demands.

This position is ideal for a results-oriented marketing leader with a strong background in product marketing, a strategic mindset, and the ability to manage complex initiatives from concept to execution.

Responsibilities:

Go-to-Market Strategy Development:

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive GTM plans for new product launches and enhancements.
  • Define and communicate the product’s value proposition, ICP, positioning, and messaging in collaboration with product management and executive leadership.
  • Create and manage cross-functional launch plans, working with teams across product, sales, marketing, and customer success to ensure alignment and a successful launch.

Product Positioning & Messaging:

  • Develop product messaging that clearly articulates the product’s unique value to target customers and aligns with broader company goals.
  • Collaborate with content marketing, creative, and digital teams to ensure consistent messaging across all marketing and sales channels.
  • Update product positioning based on evolving market conditions, customer feedback, and competitive insights.

Sales Enablement:

  • Partner with the sales and sales enablement teams to create sales tools, presentations, product demos, and competitive battlecards that help the sales team effectively communicate the product’s value.
  • Conduct sales training sessions, ensuring the team is well-equipped to position and sell the product effectively in the market.
  • Support the sales team in key deals by providing product expertise and helping to craft compelling pitches.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to understand customer needs, pain points, and preferences, as well as to identify new market opportunities.
  • Regularly analyze competitors and market trends to keep the product competitive and relevant in the marketplace.
  • Provide actionable insights to product management and marketing teams based on customer and market data.

Customer Engagement & Advocacy:

  • Serve as a voice of the customer by gathering customer feedback and using it to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Develop and manage customer reference programs, case studies, and testimonials to highlight the success and value of the product.
  • Partner with customer success teams to ensure customer satisfaction and adoption.

 

Content Creation & Campaign Development:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create product-focused content such as blog posts, white papers, webinars, videos, and other assets that communicate the product’s value.
  • Work closely with the demand generation team to develop and optimize campaigns that drive product awareness, lead generation, and customer acquisition.
  • Track and measure the performance of marketing campaigns, making data-driven adjustments as needed.

Performance Metrics & Reporting:

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of product marketing efforts, such as product adoption, sales pipeline growth, and customer engagement.
  • Regularly report on product marketing performance, providing insights and recommendations to optimize future efforts.

Required Skills:

  • 5-7 years of product marketing experience, ideally within software testing, test automation, or DevOps, with a proven track record of driving successful product launches and leading go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and build strong relationships across the organization.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical features into clear, compelling product narratives.
  • Deep understanding of market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation.
  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to marketing.

Your base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience, along with its relationship to the base salaries of current team members at Sauce Labs that are similarly situated.

US Compensation Range

$175,000 - $200,000 USD
