Who We are Looking For in this Role

The Partnerships and Learning Manager will serve as a vital link between Saxbys' educational initiatives and university partners. This role supports the growth of our experiential learning program by assisting with both learning content development and academic partnership cultivation. The ideal candidate will help create structured learning pathways for student leaders, support partnership development with universities, and ensure seamless communication between departments. This position offers a unique opportunity to impact the future of experiential education while developing skills in learning design, relationship management, and project coordination.

Roles and Responsibilities

Learning and Development

  • Assist in developing and maintaining structured learning roadmaps for student leadership roles (Student CEO, COO, SVP, Team Lead)
  • Help create, organize, and facilitate training materials, workshops, and assessment tools
  • Support the implementation of operational skills proficiency matrices and evaluation frameworks for student leadership roles
  • Coordinate the administration and evaluation of Power Skills self-assessments at strategic touchpoints throughout the semester
  • Collaborate on designing, developing, and delivering multimodal learning materials (i.e., asynchronous courses, videos, job aids, in-person and virtual workshops)
  • Organize and maintain the Learning & Development content library
  • Coordinate logistics–including scheduling, attendance, and breakout rooms– for in-person and virtual training events, workshops, and professional development seminars
  • Manage L&D project timelines and track deliverables using project management tools
  • Collect and organize feedback data from learning experience surveys
  • Prepare reports and presentations on L&D initiatives for stakeholders
  • Serve as a liaison between the L&D function and other departments (Product & Operations Implementation, Experiential Learning & Impact, People Operations)
  • Support the DARE Matrix framework by facilitating communication among stakeholders
  • Document meeting outcomes and follow up on action items
  • Help maintain alignment on L&D priorities across the organization

Academic Partnership Development 

  • Qualify leads based on predetermined criteria for viable university partnerships
  • Research university and college structures to identify and map complex decision-making processes within each institution
  • Assist in nurturing early-stage relationship through consistent, value-driven communication that moves prospects through the pipeline
  • Schedule initial discovery calls for leadership  
  • Achieve monthly qualified opportunity targets
  • Coordinate monthly partner health check-ins and internal biannual business reviews
  • Coordinate collaboration between Partner Success and Business & Academic Partnerships on renewal process 
  • Maintain and own accurate data in CRM (e.g. Airtable, HubSpot, or another CRM)  

Desired qualifications

  • Familiarity and/or proficiency with learning design authoring tools, including but not limited to Canva, Descript, and the Articulate 360 suite
  • Familiarity and/or proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Familiarity and/or proficiency with learning management systems
  • Experience facilitating both virtual and in-person meetings, workshops, and/or class sessions
  • Familiarity and/or proficiency with CRMs (e.g. HubSpot, Airtable)
  • Familiarity and/or proficiency with ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity AI

Education & Experience Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in learning & development, higher education, or account management 
  • Experience with project management and content organization
  • Background in educational settings or working with student populations a plus

Performance Expectations

  • Successfully coordinate and track at least 7-10 learning experiences per semester including 6-7 Core Seminars, 2-3 Power Skills Self Assessment touchpoints, and 1-2 additional evaluations for SVPs and Team Leads as they are developed
  • Support qualification of 150+ university partnership leads per quarter
  • Maintain 95%+ accuracy in all CRM data management
  • Meet deadlines for all assigned projects and communications
  • Support successful renewal of 90% of existing partnerships

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Hybrid work environment with some in-office days required
  • Occasional travel to university partner locations 
  • Some flexibility in scheduling required to accommodate university partner needs and training sessions
  • Fast-paced, collaborative environment

  • Travel Requirement up to 10%

    • Able to stand, walk, and smile for extended periods of time

    • Push, pull, lift or carry up to 35 lbs
    • Ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps
