Reports to: Student CEO®

Classification: Part-time

HQ Sponsor: Associate Marketing Manager

Job Summary:

As the Student Vice President (SVP) of Campus Marketing, you'll be the driving force behind bringing Saxbys to life on your campus. From creating memorable experiences and collaborating with campus influencers to building partnerships with student organizations, you'll make Saxbys more than just a cafe. You'll make it part of the campus community.

You'll be fully responsible for executing the 4 Semester Goals of Campus Marketing:

  • 12 Tabling Events
  • 6 High-Reach Campus Placements
  • 3 Influencer Partnerships
  • 4 Original Content Creation Submissions

You'll work closely with your Student CEO (SCEO) to execute marketing campaigns, grow brand awareness, and drive cafe traffic and sales. You'll activate Saxbys HQ Campus Marketing Campaigns outside the four walls of the cafe, build meaningful relationships, and gain hands-on experience leading real-world marketing initiatives.

Who You'll Support

  • Student CEO: Collaborate to drive cafe sales, strengthen campus relationships, attract new guests, and execute rave-worthy brand experiences for campus influencers, partners, and guests.
  • HQ Marketing Team: Bring national marketing campaigns to life through creative, campus-specific initiatives that align with Saxbys' brand and drive traffic to the cafe.

What You'll Own

Campus Events & Activations

  • Plan and execute tabling events and campus activations that introduce Saxbys to new audiences and drive cafe traffic.
  • Support product launches through high-reach placements and original content that shows Saxbys is truly part of the student experience.
  • Lead Product & Influencer Preview Parties for new menu items and product drops, creating content and excitement that power successful launches.
  • Identify opportunities to make Saxbys part of major campus events, traditions, and student experiences.

Campus Partnerships & Brand Awareness

  • Lead outreach before the semester begins to build partnerships with student organizations, athletic programs, campus leaders, and university departments.
  • Secure high-reach marketing opportunities through university events, campus media, student organizations, athletics, and other promotional channels.
  • Create meaningful partnerships that strengthen Saxbys' connection to the student community.

Influencer Partnerships

  • Identify and pitch campus influencers and student-athletes who can authentically connect Saxbys with new student audiences.
  • Coordinate the partnership after HQ Marketing approves a pitch, manage content deliverables and campaign execution, and communicate with HQ Accounting so influencers are paid on time.

Content Creation

  • Create original, engaging photo and video content that showcases Saxbys products, cafe culture, and campus life.
  • Capture the energy of your campus and bring the Saxbys brand to life on social media.

Marketing Campaign Execution & Leadership

  • Bring Saxbys' national campaigns, seasonal promotions, and new product launches to life at your cafe.
  • Partner with your Student CEO to execute campaign signage, promotional materials, and marketing initiatives accurately and on time.
  • Own your activations and goals: keep your cafe's Campus Marketing Tracker fully updated, track progress toward your semester goals, and communicate regularly with your Student CEO.

What Success Looks Like

  • Surpass your minimum semester goals as early in the semester as possible. Failure to meet your midterm goals can result in removal from the SVP program.
  • Start executing before the semester officially begins, and keep the momentum going all semester.
  • Build campus relationships and secure high-reach placements that ensure widespread, frequent Saxbys brand visibility across campus.
  • Develop influencer partnerships and original content that show viewers we are truly "For Students, By Students."
  • Execute national campaigns and product launches on time and on brand.
  • Communicate frequently and professionally with your Student Leadership Team and Cafe Operations Lead, and use the outlined tools and processes to communicate with HQ Marketing, other HQ departments, and campus partners.
