
Peer Mentor
Join our volunteer team of Peer Mentors in our mission of creating a more inclusive, supportive, and engaging space for everyone to get help, stay motivated, form meaningful connections, and ultimately transform their lives!
Peer Mentors are Springboard students and alumni volunteers who are passionate about making our online Springboard community an engaging place to learn, connect, and collaborate.
As a Peer Mentor, your role would include a variety of the following:
- Introduce yourself in the community as someone available for students to connect with to talk about their Springboard experience.
- Help to motivate and unblock fellow learners by answering questions and giving feedback on student projects in Slack
- Make posts to help spark discussion in the community
- Share helpful resources and best practices and encourage students in the online community
- Organize groups of students with similar interests (study groups, community events, topic discussions, special interest/identity groups)
- Create and execute Slack engagement activities
- Own engagement in specific channels on a rotating basis
- Optional: participate in projects to improve the community experience

These roles require a minimum dedication of 2-3 hours per week and a minimum commitment of 3 months of volunteering.
