Role Summary
The Group Account Director (GAD) is the cornerstone of client relationships, strategically guiding marketing campaigns from inception to completion. This role requires a blend of strategic acumen, deep digital expertise, and exceptional communication skills. The ideal GAD is a proactive problem-solver, detail-oriented, and capable of seamlessly managing multiple projects while fostering strong collaborations internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain robust client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact. Develop a deep understanding of client business objectives, ensuring clear communication and alignment of expectations.

Project Management: Oversee all facets of project execution, from timelines and budgets to resource allocation and internal team coordination. Guarantee the timely and successful delivery of all projects, adhering to stringent quality standards.

Creative Development & Execution: Collaborate closely with creative teams, providing strategic input and ensuring alignment with client objectives and brand guidelines. Lead compelling client presentations, effectively communicating creative concepts and their underlying rationale.

Strategic Planning & Implementation: Contribute to the development and execution of data-driven marketing strategies informed by market research and analysis. Leverage insights to provide strategic recommendations that yield measurable results.

Financial Management: Meticulously manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure accurate and timely invoicing. Monitor financial performance to consistently meet or exceed targets.

Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and guide junior team members, cultivating a collaborative and supportive work environment. Provide constructive feedback and actively support team growth and development.

Business Development: Spearhead new business initiatives and proactively identify and pursue opportunities to expand the agency's client portfolio.

Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance skills and knowledge.
Role Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Sales, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced education or certifications are highly advantageous.

Experience: Demonstrated experience in account management within an advertising agency, with a proven track record of successfully managing client accounts and delivering impactful results. Experience with Pan-African initiatives is a plus.

Skills: A strong understanding of the digital and social media landscape is essential. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills are crucial. Analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities are also required. Proficiency in project management and budget control is necessary, along with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
