JOB PURPOSE – SUMMARY

This person should be a great operator and have good project management skills to help support the coordination and tracking of campaigns. They need to be an effective communicator and ensure internal teams are briefed and connected on what the client requires. They will need to have strong organization and time management skills, working across multiple projects at once. They will need to be able to take control of day-to-day operations whilst keeping the Media Manager up to date with issues that may need more senior involvement.

Media planners are the conduit between strategy and implementation across all activation channels. Their job is to use insight derived from data across all sources to help create integrated channel plans that deliver on the KPIs our clients set.

In this role, you will work with the Media Manager in receiving client briefs, analyzing market-level competitive data, SOV and media consumption data to build out media analysis & planning implications. The Media Planner will also be responsible for campaign performance reporting.

They will also support with aspects of finance, ensuring tracking documents are updated and helping resolve client queries in this area (with support from our buyers and internal finance team).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

In three months;

  • Demonstrate understanding of the media landscape and business challenges and begin to contribute ideas on how to improve on current situation.
  • Implementation of media plans across both traditional and digital channels
  • Excellent insight-led reports
  • Great understanding of your portfolio of clients

In six months;

  • Be the person whom the client goes to for day-to-day activities. Able to propose ideas and activities to answer identified challenges.
  • Mentor new Interns and assist in leading a small-scale project (identify needs, formulate idea into plan, set the scope and present to the Manager and Director

In 12 months:

  • Assist in leading medium scale projects (identify need, formulate idea into plan, set the scope and present to the Manager)
  • Participate in new business pitches.

PROFESSIONAL, TECHNICAL SKILLS AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • At least 3+ years’ experience in media/advertising/data planning agency
  • A Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in Advertising/ Communications/ Business/ Finance/ Actuarial Science/ Mathematics preferred
  • Familiar with all implementation tools including but not limited to Ipsos data points, Geopoll and other 3rd party and secondary data points.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders (e.g. suppliers, advertising/marketing. agencies, media owners and internal specialist resources)
  • Be a strong communicator – English is our global language.
  • Excellent numerical analysis skills and attention to detail
  • Energy, passion and self-motivation
  • Great knowledge in Excel & PowerPoint
  • Can manage their own time effectively.
  • Curious character, instinctively proactive and believes in asking questions to get ahead.
