Schimenti Construction is currently accepting applications for our 2027 Summer Rotational Internship Program in our New York City and Rye Brook, NY (Westchester County) office locations. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Deadline to apply is March 30, 2027.  

Schimenti Construction’s Summer Rotational Internship Program is an 11-week paid internship from June to August. Throughout our summer program, Interns work closely with our knowledgeable teams within Field Operations, Business Development, Estimating, and Project Management. This is a highly selective program for top undergraduate students in Construction Management or Civil Engineering majors to gain valuable hands-on experience at one of the Northeast’s premier general contractors.  All applicants must be geographically commutable to one of our office locations: New York, NY, or Rye Brook, NY.  Please note that we do not provide housing or relocation support.

Skills and Requirements 

  • Must currently be enrolled in a Construction Management or Civil Engineering program 
  • Must live within a commutable distance to one of our offices (NYC or Rye Brook, NY) 
  • Strong record of academic performance
  • Exhibits passion and drive for the construction industry
  • Behaves in a proactive manner with an ability to problem solve
  • Can work well on independent projects but collaborative and team-oriented
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 
  • Knowledge of Procore is preferred 

 

In compliance with state law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in New York. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour.
