Staff Accountant

As a member of our Accounting team, you’ll play a key role in monitoring and maintaining our company’s financial success. This role offers the opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to collaborate with a team of dynamic colleagues at the intersection of tech and pharmaceutical science.

What you’ll do:
- Coordinate with external auditors for quarterly and annual audits, ensuring timely support and responses
- Assist in monthly and quarterly close procedures, including preparation of all SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, etc.)
- Support the research and documentation of complex accounting issues and non-routine transactions, preparing position memos and supporting documentation, in collaboration with senior team members
- Analyze new accounting pronouncements—including FASB pronouncements, SEC regulations, and tax laws—and assist in implementing them across the organization
- Collaborate with outside firms to prepare federal and state tax returns by providing financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Compile and organize documentation for annual tax studies, including R&D credit, 382 studies, and transfer pricing analysis
What you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA eligible preferred)
- 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience (depending on the complexity of the role)
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel) and accounting ERP systems
- Experience with Workiva WDesk or similar software a plus
- Familiarity with tax accounting is a plus
