Marketing Specialist
We’re seeking a Marketing Specialist to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods.
Schrödinger is transforming the way therapeutics and materials are discovered. We’ve pioneered a digital chemistry platform that enables discovery of high-quality, novel molecules more rapidly and at lower cost compared to traditional methods. The platform combines the power of physics-based molecular simulation with machine learning and team-based collaborative informatics. It is used by biopharmaceutical and industrial companies, academic institutions, and government laboratories around the world.
As a member of our global marketing team, you’ll have the opportunity to organize regional marketing activities for our life science and materials science business in Europe. We plan to fill this role in Mannheim, Germany. The position is for one year as parental leave coverage.- A motivated marketer with experience planning and operating events, ideally within the life science, materials science, or software industry
- A skilled project manager and communicator who can coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and work productively with counterparts in a cross-functional capacity
What you’ll do:
- Event Planning: Assist in the planning and execution of in-person conferences, trade shows, user events, workshops, as well as online events; coordinate pre-show activities and customer promotions, event logistics, sponsorships, booth setup, and event staffing; implement digital and hybrid concepts to support sales success
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors to coordinate deadlines, on-site requirements, and other logistical needs; ensure effective communication and timely delivery of services
- Budget Tracking: Track and monitor expenses; maintain detailed records to ensure that events keep to a budget
- Post-Event Coordination & Analysis: Coordinate post-show activities, manage leads, and follow up with commercial teams; monitor, evaluate, and prepare reports, including tracking of KPIs / ROI analysis and derivation of recommendations for action as well as continuous optimisation
- General Marketing Support: Provide support for general marketing activities in collaboration with regional sales and scientific support teams in Europe; drive regional brand representation and consistency by working with global creative and marketing teams
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s in Marketing, Business or related discipline
- Excellent English skills - German and/or French would be a plus
- Two to three years of marketing experience, ideally in life science or materials science industries
- Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot or other CRM/Marketing Automation software
- Solid Microsoft Office skills, including Powerpoint and Excel
- Project Management experience, including software tools (i.e., Asana)
