Title: VP, MEDICAL DIRECTOR

Office Location: Hybrid in New York City

We are looking for someone who has a knack for simplifying complicated science, can translate clinical concepts into impactful content across a range of audiences, and can help clients discover the true scientific opportunities within their brands. Role expectations are outlined below:

  • Oversees an assigned book of business as the medical steward responsible for strategic integrity and medical accuracy
  • Become the day-to-day medical expert that the team and clients lean on to know the disease state, data, and its strategic implications
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to deliver engaging presentations and communicate scientific narratives in a simple and engaging way
  • Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to set strategic expectations and uncover the most meaningful and compelling differentiators and content
  • Participates in new business pitches from a medical strategy perspective
  • Leads internal and external stakeholder sessions, including, but not limited to, workshops, advisory boards, HCP interviews
  • Proactively monitors changing market dynamics and provides competitive intelligence reports of key conferences

 The skills you’ll need:

  • Advanced degree in life science required (PhD, PharmD, MD)
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Deep comfort being the client-facing medical lead
  • Experience across HCP and DTC communications in healthcare advertising
  • Experience with launch brands strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting new business pitches
  • In-person attendance for client meetings and/or client travel

The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health Group company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.

  • $155,000 - $208,500
