What we’re looking for…

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Cloud Operations to lead our Operations and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our SaaS platforms. This role requires a strategic leader capable of driving operational excellence, fostering innovation, and growing high-performing global teams in a fast-paced environment.

 

 

What you’ll be doing…

 

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for SaaS Operations and Site Reliability Engineering, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer needs.
  • Oversee all aspects of SaaS operations, including service delivery, system uptime, and SRE practices to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a diverse global team of Operations and SRE professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the adoption of automation and tooling across Operations and SRE to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and reduce manual effort.
  • Establish, mature, and oversee incident management processes and procedures to ensure effective response and resolution of incidents, minimizing customer and business impact.
  • Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems using ScienceLogic’s software to proactively identify and address issues before they impact system availability or performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to forecast resource needs and plan capacity to support business growth, integrating SRE principles and cost control.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of SaaS platforms and digital infrastructure through best practices and governance controls.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize system performance, reduce latency, and enhance the end-user experience using operational and SRE methodologies.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, documentation, and knowledge sharing across Operations and SRE teams.

 

Qualities you possess…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required, Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline preferred.
  • 10–15+ years of progressive experience in SaaS operations, cloud infrastructure, and Site Reliability Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience overseeing both Operations and SRE
  • Expertise building and operating large-scale distributed systems, microservices architectures, and high-availability SaaS platforms.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization, orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud-native tooling.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring & observability platforms, incident and problem management, automation and Infrastructure as Code, capacity planning, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, compliance standards, and cloud governance practices.
  • Experience optimizing performance, reliability, and scalability of SaaS platforms.
  • Knowledge of SRE, security, and cloud operations best practices.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth technology environments.
