Solutions Consultant, Brands and Agencies

About Scope3

Scope3 is the industry’s leading collaborative sustainability platform. By modeling the complex digital advertising supply chain, we help brands measure and dramatically reduce digital waste to reduce carbon emissions from advertising and increase the efficacy of advertising investment. This is an exceptional opportunity to build a company alongside great people and make a difference in one of the most important issues facing the planet: the climate crisis.

We’re a reliably-funded company of 100 folks distributed across the globe. We are fortunate to be led by an experienced leadership team, many of whom designed and engineered the digital advertising landscape as we know it today. The company secured $20M in Series B funding led by GV in Oct 2023 (additional investors include Venrock, Rucker Park, Room40 Ventures, and Craft Ventures), and we are thrilled to be the recipient of a secondary round of $25M in Oct 2024. Scope3 has significant market traction with more than 70+ customers and is experiencing accelerated growth.

Scope3 is a fully remote company and largely asynchronous to provide flexible working hours and to operate globally, with concentrations in New York and Europe. At this time, we are hiring in Canada, Australia, UK, France, Germany, and the United States.

About the role …

Solutions Consultants provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to brand and agency clients globally. You are a expert of Scope3 offerings and solutions, helping clients to translate emissions measurement into meaningful reduction in their carbon footprints. The Solutions Consultant educates partners on sustainability and implementation of best practices that drive efficiency and effectiveness.

The ideal candidate is an AdTech domain expert who will thrive in a start-up environment where everything moves fast, and nothing is set in stone. As an early member of the Scope3 Services team, you’ll play an important role in how we develop our engagement models.

For Scope3’s clients and partners you will …

  • Analyze marketing strategies, delivery, and carbon footprint to determine the best ways to drive business outcomes
  • Implement Scope3’s decarbonization solutions and ensure long-term success
  • Consult on reduction strategies and provide ongoing enablement/support
  • Successfully and consistently deliver value through strategies that achieve systemic reductions in CO2 emissions
  • Evangelize and educate the market about sustainable advertising, Scope3, and the industry’s path to Net Zero
  • Educate customers and partners on the environmental challenges faced by the programmatic industry and how they can be overcome
  • Build healthy and strong relationships with key stakeholders based on the ability to earn their trust and deliver value
  • Evaluate key metrics and proactively identify pain points as well as opportunities for growth

As a core member of Scope3’s Services team …

  • Understand Scope3 products intimately including how we measure CO2 emissions throughout the advertising supply chain
  • Think systemically about all parts of the advertising value chain: brands, agencies, AdTech platforms, publishers, and broadcasters
  • Be comfortable with APIs and web-based technologies (knowledge of SQL and Python is a plus)
  • Create tailored training and best practice materials that showcase value of Scope solutions
  • Collect and provide feedback on Scope3’s offering and ideas on how to improve products, operations, and processes
  • Work closely with internal teams (commercial, product and other supporting functions) on behalf of customers, helping solve problems in the short-term while contributing to long-term solutions that can benefit Scope3’s entire book of business
  • Build repeatable processes and seek continuous improvement to enable the team to scale
  • Train and support other members of the Services team
  • Have a natural interest for the topic of sustainability and how it’s shaping the future of advertising and the media industries

Experience you should have …

  • Demonstrated success managing complex client engagements for a company in the AdTech ecosystem, ideally gained from consulting with buy-side clients on their media strategies
  • Fluency in the German language
  • Aptitude for explaining technical concepts to non-technical people
  • Comfort managing competing priorities and multiple projects

Our Culture is rooted in …

  • A passion for the environment and climate work. We are a mission-driven company, and this is what motivates us to work hard and deliver outcomes for our customers.
  • A desire to communicate clearly and empathetically while working asynchronously. We have always been a globally distributed, remote-first company and leverage remote-friendly tools to collaborate such as Slack, Zoom, Notion, Miro, etc.
  • Celebration of healthy conflict in the workplace; differences in approach are good! We focus on the solutions and we move on quickly.
  • The ability and accountability to deliver what we promise. We do what we say we will do, and we don’t make promises we can’t keep.
  • Experience driving systemic change. Our mission is to decarbonize advertising and this requires a holistic approach to re-imagining and inspiring an industry movement at a global scale.
