Lead Game Designer, Content - Marvel Strike Force
Scopely is looking for a highly motivated Lead Game Designer, Content to join the Marvel Strike Force team on a remote U.S. basis.
The Lead Content Designer will oversee the creation and implementation of all in-game content in Marvel Strike Force (MSF), ensuring alignment with the game’s vision. They will lead the design of combat encounters, game mode content, and narrative elements, while collaborating with various teams to support content goals.

What You’ll Do:
- Content Strategy: Maintain the vision for in-game content, aligning with product, game design, and narrative goals. Collaborate with various teams to proactively create content that supports upcoming game releases.
- Narrative Integration: Ensure the development of lore, storylines, and world-building elements to enhance the MARVEL experience, supporting player immersion and localization needs.
- Asset Management: Guide the creation of assets such as battle designs, raid maps, dialogues, NPCs, and content theming.
- Player Experience: Create engaging and varied experiences across different playstyles and player power levels, ensuring content is rewarding and accessible.
- Collaboration: Work with the Core Loop, Combat, and Live Ops teams to integrate content with ongoing game metas, character releases, and new features..
- Content Planning: Manage content creation pipelines to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and stay within scope and budget.
- Quality Control: Ensure content quality and consistency, reviewing designs and conducting playtesting. Use player feedback and analytics to improve future content.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of designers and writers, fostering creativity and ensuring alignment with MSF’s tone and goals. Provide career development and feedback to team members.
What We’re Looking For:
- 7+ years of professional game design experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or lead designer role.
- Deep experience designing, balancing, and evolving game content in a live-service game.
- Proven ability to manage a team and a content pipeline while maintaining design quality at scale.
- Strong analytical mindset and comfort with data-informed iteration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clearly pitching game design concepts.
- Excellent cross-discipline collaboration and communication skills
Bonus:
- Familiarity with Marvel IP, team-based battle games, or character-focused mobile RPGs.

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for equity, bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$169,600 - $253,000 USD
