EU Program Community Manager

We're looking for a Community Program manager to help support and grow community-focused programs specifically within the European region by championing our community efforts. In this role, you'll help ensure smooth day-to-day operations of our European community programming and assist with broader initiatives that build engaging and memorable experiences for our players in the region. You'll play a pivotal role in creating innovative and impactful experiences that inspire millions of players to connect with their communities through Pokémon GO across Europe. Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day management of the Community Ambassador Program in Europe, responding to inquiries, gathering feedback, and keeping the community up to date.
  • Help coordinate and run online and offline community events throughout Europe, including scheduling, promoting, and coordinating with external communities.
  • Responsible for the daily operations of community programs in the region, ensuring everything runs efficiently and is in line with broader strategic goals.
  • Maintain documentation related to community programs and communication strategies relevant to Europe.
  • Source user generated content from a wide range of diverse communities within Europe to support marketing and creative design efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders, including regular and reliable attendance and participation in meetings.

Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in community management or event planning, preferably in the gaming industry. (Volunteer experience leading large communities, gaming guilds, and other similar groups may be considered)
  • Able to quickly learn, adopt, and reliably use new tools, technologies, and processes with existing proficiency with Discord, CRMs, Google Sheets highly preferred.
  • In depth knowledge of Pokémon, Pokémon GO, and adjacent communities in Europe. (Knowledge of additional current gaming and community trends in the region is highly preferred)
  • Proven experience coordinating virtual or in-person events, handling logistics, managing timelines, and resolving issues.
  • Ability to engage diverse audiences in an inclusive and friendly manner.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Able to work non-traditional and on-call hours to support events and activations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and handle stress appropriately and/or ability to tackle practical problems and be sufficiently adaptable to handle dynamic situations with little advance notice.
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams with ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications, including asynchronous interactions with others.
  • Proficient in English and Spanish, both written and verbal, to ensure clear communication across teams and partners in Europe.

Plus if...

  • You’ve managed brand ambassadors (or been one).
  • You have successfully launched, run, or moderated a Discord server with thousands of active participants.
  • You have experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello).
  • You have professional working proficiency in French, German, or Italian.
