CRM Marketing Operations Manager

ES - Barcelona, Spain

We are looking for a CRM Marketing Operations Manager to join our team in Barcelona.

At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play every day - whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues or through our deep connections with our communities of players. We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.

What Will You Do

The Marketing Operations Manager is the technical backbone of the CRM organization. Operating centrally across multiple game titles, this person translates campaign briefs from the embedded CRM/Lifecycle Managers into fully built, tested, and monitored email, pushnote, in-game messaging, and SMS campaigns within the martech stack. They bring deep platform expertise, maintain quality standards across the campaign portfolio, and serve as the CRM discipline's voice in ensuring excellence in delivery.  The CRM Operations Manager takes direction on what to build from the CRM/Lifecycle strategic leads but owns how it is built and whether it meets quality standards.

Campaign Building & Execution

  • Build and code campaigns across multiple game titles using the in-house CRM platform (e.g., equivalent to Braze, Iterable, etc)
  • Configure audience segmentation, journey logic, A/B variants, segmentation hold-outs, frequency caps, and send-time optimization
  • Execute campaigns at sufficient volume and speed to support the communication calendars of all assigned game teams
  • Manage a campaign backlog across titles, prioritizing in collaboration with CRM/Lifecycle Managers and the Director of CRM

QA & Monitoring

  • Own the quality assurance process for all campaigns prior to launch — including test sends, link verification, audience validation, and render checks
  • Monitor live campaigns for delivery anomalies, suppression issues, and performance deviations
  • Act as first point-of-contact for campaign issues - triage and resolve rapidly, escalating platform bugs with the team partners or vendors as needed
  • Maintain a QA checklist and ensure it is applied consistently across all game teams

Platform Expertise & Operations

  • Serve as the in-house expert on CRM platform capabilities, data connectors, and API integrations
  • Manage platform configurations, user access, template libraries, and tagging taxonomies
  • Stay current on platform updates and evaluate new features for adoption
  • Document operational procedures and support the Project Manager in codifying best practices

What We’re Looking For:

  • 4+ years in marketing operations, CRM campaign management, or marketing technology
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across stakeholders
  • Deep expertise with at least one major CRM or marketing automation platform (Braze strongly preferred; Iterable, Leanplum, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud also relevant)
  • Experience programming and maintaining a complex set of multi-channel campaigns including email, pushnote, in-game messaging, and SMS channels.   Coding experience in Perforce is a +
  • Demonstrated understanding of CRM foundations -  including audience segmentation, player journey orchestration, experiment design, campaign QA methodology, mobile platform guidelines (Apple and Google), channel best practices, and compliance basics for GDPR, Can-Spam, CCPA, and COPPA
  • Experience working across multiple products or brands simultaneously
  • Comfortable representing tool functionality and able to represent technical requirements in planning sessions
  • Detail-oriented with a strong quality mindset — this role is the last line of defense before campaigns reach players
  • Familiarity with mobile app event tracking and data schemas is a plus
  • Experience in gaming as a player or operations manager preferred.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • CRM platform campaign build (Braze, Iterable, SFMC)
  • Multi-channel campaign programming (in-app, push, email, SMS)
  • HTML/CSS for email and in-app messaging
  • Dynamic content templates and personalization logic
  • Liquid or similar templating languages
  • Tracking, deep linking, and URL parameterization
  • A/B testing, holdouts, and optimization setup
  • Event-driven targeting, APIs, and data integrations
  • QA, debugging, and campaign troubleshooting
  • Version control tools (e.g., Perforce, Git) a plus.
