You’ll operate at the intersection of operational excellence, deep technical strategy, and organization-wide influence.
Leading a team of managers and senior individual contributors, you will define the standards and “paved roads” that multiple game and central teams adopt by default—earning alignment through strong partnerships with studio leadership. Your mandate is clear: deliver measurable step-change improvements in release quality, delivery velocity, development of internal CSO solutions, and operational resilience at scale.
What you will do
- Own the vision of CSO RM capabilities through the definition and execution of a roadmap that elevates how game teams reduce time-to-submission for cross-platform offers and submissions.
- Own the vision of CSO Automation capabilities through the definition and execution of a roadmap that elevates how CSO Programs enable game teams success.
- Define and lead Scopely-wide standards for release readiness, risk management, and go/no-go criteria across multiple titles.
- Build lightweight, repeatable governance that improves predictability without slowing teams down.
- Establish and execute a development roadmap for central software solutions to address CSO needs
- Partner with game TDs, D2C, and Publishing to create an industry-leading roadmap for the RM with solutions that simplify and accelerate offers submissions.
- Partner with CSO Programs leaders to define and develop internal central solutions to enable program CSO efficiency.
- Own the RM and Automation rituals & processes for the team, including backlog prioritization, roadmap definition, product specs, communication, and feedback collection.
- Establish operational metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- Build learning loops (postmortems, action tracking, preventative controls).
- Lead a team of leaders to effectively partner with a diverse, geographically-distributed set of stakeholders.
What you will need
- Experience with game development, preferably with Unity.
- Experience in RM across mobile, PC, and Console.
- Lead and mentor managers and senior engineers across release engineering, and automation disciplines.
- Align stakeholders across Production, Engineering, QA, LiveOps, Security, and Data to deliver shared outcomes.
- Communicate roadmap, status, and impact with clarity to both technical and non-technical leadership.
- Experience owning, driving, and operating a product strategy and roadmap.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Passion for continuous learning in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in engineering leadership roles, including years managing managers (or leading multi-team orgs).
- Experience in building or leading release engineering, developer productivity, or automation programs at scale.
- Experience in leading engineering development to create solutions.
- Strong technical background in modern delivery practices. Demonstrated experience implementing automation and governance in complex, multi-team environments.
- Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving adoption across decentralized organizations.
- Experience applying AI/ML-assisted approaches in engineering workflows (or strong demonstrated ability to lead this transformation with partners).
Bonus Points
- Experience with live-service games or high-availability consumer platforms.
- Expertise in progressive delivery (feature flags, canaries, blue/green) and release safety tooling.
- Experience with compliance, security, and privacy requirements in deployment pipelines.
