What you’ll do
Specialist Serial Planning Body Shop – Conveyor Technology incl. Automation is responsible for a seamless production of the Scout Motors vehicle assembly. They will report to the Manager Serial Planning Body Shop
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Development and creation as well as implementation of planning concepts and projects including the corresponding design specifications or framework conditions for the Body Shop department.
- Ensuring of defined measures and development of techniques or processes including analysis and evaluation of alternative solutions under consideration of economic standards. The development and elaboration of conveyor technology concepts and layouts for the interlinking and connecting conveyor technology for the body shop, if necessary, in cooperation with external planning companies
- The management of a conveyor technology planning project from the early concept phase, through the procurement phase to the implementation phase, in compliance with cost, quality and deadline targets
- The independent development and presentation of decision-making templates for all levels of Scout Motors production management.
- Construction site support with site representatives and suppliers up to plant acceptance
- Processing of purchase orders, improvement proposals and change requests including ongoing revision
- Improvement of techniques and procedures/processes related to conveyor technology planning
- Assumption of special tasks corresponding to the skills and duties of the job holder
- End2End business responsibility for planning of the automation technology and production systems.
- Responsibility for project coordination in terms of time, costs and quality (preparation, implementation and documentation of all necessary project milestones)
- Support for planning of electrical equipment from concept- and construction perspective, through implementation phase to the final acceptance.
- Acting as an interface between Production and IT as well as to external suppliers
Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require daily attendance at in-person meetings and events. The role will be based out of a Scout Motors location in greater Columbia, SC. Applicants should expect that the role may require the ability to travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- 5+ years of professional experience in automotive production or planning
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or related fields
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. The salary range listed represents the maximum and minimum starting base pay for this position as of the time of posting. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range: $110,000 - $130,000
Internal leveling code: IC9
