What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
Platform and Modules management
- Be responsible for the COP (carry over parts) usage approach of Scout based on the availability from VW Group brands.
- Lead cross functional teams for usage of VW Group components
- Negotiate and establish license agreements, confirm purchasing approaches and define a legal framework in cooperation with Finance, Purchasing and Legal counterparts.
- Lead the exchange with other VW Group brands on COP usage on regular basis
- Create decision documents on COP and present in board level meetings
- Coordinate the cooperation with potential users of the Scout EV platform incl. regular meetings, legal and financial project steering
- Lead cross functional working groups at Scout, incl. joint definition of collaboration with the partnering VW Group brands
- Set up and steer regular product management communication with the platform users to identify synergy potential, provide transparency and support on the platform and to involve the platform in relevant decision processes.
- Identify and resolve target conflicts between platform users and Scout
- Create decision documents for platform content, coordinate with partners and present in board level committees
Process Management
- Evaluate the needs of the Scout organization on product development process implementation
- Benchmark the VW group process and other references
- Build up and steer a cross functional product development process team at Scout
- Design and lead cross functionally the Scout product development process and steer the implementation from project start to end of production
- Lead the lessons learned process to implement optimizations into the process for future projects
- Create training material on the product development process and provide it to the growing Scout organization
Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, MI. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technical or management discipline (e.g. Engineering, Economics, etc.)
- 7 to 10+ years of experience with 5+ years of Product Management or Project Management experience, preferably in the automotive industry
- Relevant knowledge and experience in managing and steering the complexity of a new project in the automotive industry.
- German language skills preferred
- Work experience in one or more VW brands preferred
- Understanding of VW group structure and processes preferred
- A good understanding of automotive product development systems (preferably incl. Volkswagen PEP)
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
- Experience in managing complex technical projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in understanding and solving cross-functional targets conflicts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- A collaborative approach and experience working in an international setting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $145,000-$165,000
Internal leveling code: M8
