What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Build and manage the Paintshop Maintenance Team.
- Create a safety culture and apply workplace policies.
- Implement corporate policies, safety and good housekeeping practices.
- As a Maintenance Leader in the Manufacturing Group, you will manage all maintenance activities in the Paintshop.
- Lead and coach maintenance personnel in all aspects of asset management including but not limited to; asset availability (mean time to repair (MTTR), mean time between failure (MTBF), cycle time, preventative maintenance, predictive and condition-based monitoring technologies.
- Must have a good blend of dynamic and Static PMs
- Evaluate team member performance and encourage continuous improvement.
- Frequent collaboration with others outside of the work group.
- Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material, and equipment
- Trains, develops, and evaluates salaried maintenance supervisors.
- Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project and proven ability to manage multiple and significantly complex projects and assignments with the highest level of autonomy and accountability for results.
- Project management skills and ability to teach others and the desire and ability to manage/coach performance of direct reports.
- Obtains a deep knowledge and ability to implement Scout principles.
- Responsibility and control of the mechanical and electrical processes in the Paintshop, considering the number of units, budget, personnel specifications, occupational safety and quality.
- Monitor compliance with guidelines and regulations, such as work regulations, occupational health and safety regulations.
Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, SC. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- 10+ years of professional experience in automotive production equipment, with expertise in achieving stable production and maintenance processes and in-depth knowledge of Maintenance operations.
- 7+ years of progressive experience building and managing Maintenance teams in a Paintshop manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical skills in networking, hardware, and software systems
- Ability to understand PLC logic, Robotic programming, and mechanical assembly and disassembly of complex stations and assemblies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of maintenance plans
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $140,000-$165,000
Internal leveling code: M8
