What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, Program planning & group teams to secure the capacity required to meet sales demands
- Analyze customer forecasts, sales trends, & market data to create accurate demand plans.
- Work with regional teams and sales to consolidate and validate demand signals.
- Identify and communicate demand variances and trends to key stakeholders.
- Assess global manufacturing & supplier capacities in alignment with forecasted demand.
- Identify capacity constraints & develop mitigation strategies (bank build, additional production hours/ sourcing, lead time extensions) with appropriate teams
- Support long-term capacity planning in collaboration with sales and procurement teams.
- Support the global Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)
- Present demand vs. capacity analyses in cross-functional meetings.
- Align demand and capacity planning with financial goals and business strategies.
- Maintain planning data in appropriate systems and report accordingly
- Leverage analytical tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) to generate insights and reports.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Act as a liaison between global and regional planning teams, suppliers, and production facilities.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to optimize the end-to-end supply chain.
- Support NPI (New Product Introduction) with capacity planning and ramp-up scenarios.
- Prepare and submit required information for the BKM (demand capacity) analysis and confirmation for the planning cadence.
- Coordinate shortage discussion within BKM group and processes to report, align and secure production material to meet planned requirements. Represent Scout for the projected production material shortage allocation.
- Support the preparation of the BKM report for Scout and the submission, reporting as required to the Board.
- Maintain reference data in VW Group proprietary systems..
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina.
- The responsibilities of this role require daily attendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- 5 years of professional experience in logistics, planning or production environment in the automotive industry,
- Bachelor' or Master's degree in industrial engineering, supply chain, operations management , related field or equivalent experience directly in automotive.
- Strong understanding of Production planning, demand and capacity management, scheduling and production environment and affinity to work with complex IT-Systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, report writing and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Ability to communicate complex issues into common language for the organization
- Collaborative team-player with strong interpersonal skills able to work at each hierarchical level of the company
- Language skills desired but not required, German and/ or Spanish.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $95,000.00 - $120,000.00
Internal leveling code: IC9
