Mechanical Engineering Intern
Scout Space Inc. is excited to announce our 2025 internship program! We are seeking candidates in various engineering fields. Please see the below role definitions for these opportunities. All internship opportunities are mainly remote, but may involve in-person opportunities.

We are looking for people that bring excitement and energy to our organization, are curious and eager to learn, and want to help drive our programs forward.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and develop mechanical requirements and constraints for spacecraft sensor subsystems
- Contribute to mechanical design and thermal and structural analysis
- Design and model optomechanical prototypes and test equipment
- Support lab-based sensor integration and testing
Requirements:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or other related field.
- Rising Juniors, Seniors, or graduate students only.
- SolidWorks or similar CAD software expertise
- Python, MATLAB, or other coding familiarity
- Hands-on fabrication and GD&T experience a plus
