Location: Remote | Type: Full-Time | Compensation: $45,000-$55,000 base + commission

ScribeConcepts is looking for a Senior Associate in Business Development who is passionate about delivering white-glove publishing services to clients committed to educating all learners. This role goes beyond lead generation; it’s a strategic, high-growth opportunity for an experienced professional who understands the value of long-term relationships, how trust is built over time, and who has the potential to grow into leadership positions in the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify new clients, contracts, and partnership opportunities in the educational publishing space
- Maintain and expand current relationships with existing clients
- Lead and support tailored outreach, follow-ups, and client engagement
- Builds, edits, and improves our HubSpot instance, including tracking leads, maintaining an organized pipeline, and consistently working with HubSpot to increase transparency and data about our organization
- Collaborate on the development of proposals, pitch decks, capability statements, and teaming strategies
- Monitor and report on industry trends related to government contracting, content, design, and editorial services, and public-sector communications
- Work closely with company leadership to refine business development strategies and enhance the client experience
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- 5-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or client services
- Prior experience in educational publishing sales (required)
- Proficiency with our CRM platforms (HubSpot), research tools, and BD best practices
- Strong follow-through, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, self-starting mindset and a passion for purpose-driven work
- Independent problem solver that can effectively navigate our multi-department organization with consistently effective business and cultural results
