What You'll Do

Responsibilities include maintaining all equipment, systems and building components including, but not limited to; mechanical and electrical systems, pumps, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, locks, furniture, paint, wall coverings, tile and other equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Builds, repairs, and paints all parts of the hotel.
  • Installs and replaces lighting fixtures and bulbs.
  • Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
  • Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
  • Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
  • Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
  • Fabricates and repairs furniture and fixtures.
  • Attend all scheduled training classes and meetings.
  • Paints corridors, hotel rooms, and lobby areas when necessary.
  • Communicates with Maintenance Supervisor on projects as assigned.
  • Responds to all customer requests in a timely and personable manner. 
  • Additional projects and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

What You Bring

  • Previous experience in Hospitality maintenance required.
  • Previous experience with Building Management systems required.
  • Electrical, HVAC, plumbing and mechanical certifications required.
  • Ability to effectively present information, complete daily reports and respond to questions from leaders, guests and the general public in English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to solve guest issues and deal with competing priorities.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • This position requires a flexible schedule, must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

 The hourly pay range for this role is $14 to $16 USD plus gratuities.  We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, pension, meal per shift, and many other benefits to eligible employees.
