Summary
We are seeking an Audio-Visual Technician who will report to the Audio Visual Manager and assist in the deployment of the audio visual needs for the hotel. You will be responsible for setting up, operating and striking video, lighting and sound for live indoor and outdoor Banquet events.
What You'll Do
- Complete all job duties in a warm, hospitable and welcoming manner
- Follow daily flow sheets and set-up and strike equipment accordingly
- Store equipment in a neat and safe manner
- Oversee the execution of video, lighting and sound during live events
- Communicate with all departments in a hotel to make sure the client’s need are meet
- Maintain and conduct a quarterly inventory of all Audio Visual equipment
- Distribute power and lighting for Banquets operations
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts to include days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to push, pull and carry a minimum of 75lbs.
What You Bring
- Previous experience of at least two (2) years in audio, video or stage production, preferably in a hotel or convention center
- Demonstrated live-event experience
- Knowledge of lighting, sound and video equipment
- Adaptable to a constantly changing environment
- Able to quickly react to the needs of an event
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills to include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office and Outlook
- This position requires a flexible schedule, must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
The hourly pay range for this role is USD $10.00 plus gratuities. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, pension, meal per shift, and many other benefits to eligible employees.
