Insulation Technician
Job Summary:
SeaTown has an immediate need for an Insulation Lead. The ideal candidate will possess strong multi-tasking skills and be capable of performing physical labor both indoors and outdoors. This role involves installing blown-in cellulose and fiberglass insulation systems in residential attics. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintain strong organizational skills.
This is an at-will position, and candidates must be available to work full shifts with potential overtime.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review daily work schedules and ensure the truck is loaded with products, tools, and equipment for the day.
- Safely load and unload insulation materials.
- Assess homes to determine insulation installation feasibility.
- Install company products per work orders, manufacturer guidelines, and safety standards.
- Understand insulation materials and their specific uses.
- Install blockings and safety measures to mitigate hazards.
- Prepare surfaces for insulation, including foaming penetrations, caulking gaps, and installing baffles.
- Load the blower machine with fiberglass or cellulose and regulate material flow.
- Install blown-in cellulose/fiberglass insulation to appropriate depth and density.
- Install vapor and air barriers as needed.
- Use common hand tools such as knives, scissors, saws, and staple guns.
- Seal or finish insulated surfaces with plastic covers, sealants, tape, or cement.
- Complete detailed work orders for each job and record materials used for inventory control.
- Maintain and clean equipment and tools.
- Ensure job sites are clean and all work adheres to SeaTown's quality and safety standards.
Skills/Qualifications:

- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Team player, willing to support various aspects of the business.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Valid driver's license with minimal DMV infractions.
- Experience with blown-in or spray foam insulation (similar to painting) is a plus.
- Ability to use a staple gun, hammer, and utility knife, and work on scaffolding.
- Must track materials and time used for each job and submit paperwork daily.
- Ability to communicate effectively via text and phone with supervisors and job site superintendents.
Physical Demands:
- Regular use of hands for handling, reaching, and tactile tasks, along with frequent communication and listening.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 75 lbs. regularly.
- Frequent climbing of ladders, balancing, standing, and walking.
- Ability to work in attics and sub-floor areas.
- Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus.
- Capable of performing manual labor for a full workday, including standing, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.

Pay Range
$23 - $26 USD
