Seattle Reign FC is a prominent professional women's soccer team competing in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). POSITION SUMMARY
Reign FC is seeking an experienced Performance Coach to bring the club’s Performance Philosophy to life. This position will be responsible for creating and implementing a myriad of performance programs, designed to maintain peak physical condition for First Team and Academy players. A successful candidate is one who thrives in an interdisciplinary environment, working closely across departments to support the club’s mission and vision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide all performance support as requested by High Performance Director.
- Provide expertise in load monitoring, testing, and nutrition support to all players.
- Assist in tracking and developing individual and team performance enhancement programs.
- Assist in creating and communicating periodization of all club off-season, preseason and in-season programs.
- Assist in managing the short, medium, and long term individual and team training plans.
- Work closely with Performance and Medical Staff on all assessments and RTP protocols.
- Develop strength & conditioning programs, including mobility and pre-activation programs.
- Create warm-up and cool-down programs for both training sessions and matchday.
- Monitor and assess Reign players’ physical development using objective data.
- Organize, collect, and analyze player data and communicate key findings for coaches and players, providing additional support and education as needed.
- Assist in executing RTP protocols alongside medical team.
- Support club nutritionist in ensuring players follow appropriate nutrition and hydration strategies as they prepare for training, matches and travel.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a Performance Coach or Strength & Conditioning Coach role at an elite collegiate or professional level.
- Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of sports biomechanics, exercise physiology, and sports nutrition.
- Experience in using sports performance monitoring technology. (GPS, VALD, AMS)
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and motivational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt training programs to evolving team needs.
- CPR And First Aid certification.
- Experience working in a professional women’s sporting environment preferred.
- High degree of personal integrity, supporting club culture, values, and objectives.
- Strong communicator and cross-organizational collaborator.
- Must be available for travel throughout the season, inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays.
- Proficient experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
- Bilingual or multilingual a plus (English/Spanish/Portuguese/French).
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This is an in-person position working from Starfire Sports Complex and Lumen Field.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must reside within Washington state upon date of hire.
- Must be able to facilitate own local travel.
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Responsibilities include regular work outdoors and may require standing on feet for long periods of time, as well as some lifting of up to 20 pounds.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000. Base pay at time of offer will take into account job-related knowledge, skills and experience required for the role, internal equity and market.
