RAVE Foundation is the official charitable arm of Seattle Sounders FC and believes that soccer is a vehicle to empower and inspire. RAVE removes barriers to participation on and off the soccer field, while supporting and strengthening our local communities.
POSITION SUMMARY
The RAVE Community Coordinator will serve as primary contact for the communities RAVE serves, including but not limited to all RAVE field communities and potential RAVE field communities, thereby supporting Sounders FC’s and Seattle Reign FC’s impact commitments and initiatives. The RAVE Community Coordinator will be responsible for attending community stakeholder meetings and representing RAVE and Sounders FC and representing needs and opportunities in communities to RAVE/Sounders/Reign. This role will also lead planning efforts for all RAVE field openings and grass-roots community events and activities. Excellent interpersonal skills, relationship-building skills, and communication skills a must. Project management and the ability to work collaboratively is key.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as community stakeholder and direct liaison between RAVE and the growing list of communities it serves. Includes:
- Representing RAVE at community events and meetings.
- Facilitating regular communication between RAVE and community representatives.
- Sharing opportunities for RAVE and Sounders to support communities through programs and events, or through means defined by communities.
- Sourcing fan development opportunities and ways for communities of need to experience Sounders/Reign matchdays.
- Maintaining continued communication and tracking of community relationships with RAVE team.
- Coordinate RAVE Community Kids of the Match (Sounders FC) program including scheduling, communication, and ticketing requests. Support auctions and fundraising events. Primary matchday responsibilities will be community focused.
- Participate in external meetings and groups that support RAVE’s mission under the leadership of the RAVE Associate Executive Director.
- Coordinate inbound nonprofit organization requests that support partner fundraising efforts for Sounders FC. Includes communication, email correspondence, managing requests and inventory, and distributing items/experiences as needed.
- Coordinate with the Impact, Fan Engagement and Reign FC teams on community events related to RAVE field openings and other grassroots events where a RAVE presence is prioritized. Support RAVE specific camps and clinics.
- Coordinate, execute and evaluate RAVE Community Grant Program. Institute procedures and policies, engage the RAVE Board and/or SFC staff in the process.
- Inform RAVE field and program development planning and scaling through reporting and communication feedback loop with and from communities.
- Support implementation, evaluation and data tracking tools for RAVE events and programs.
- Support RAVE large scale events to include, but not limited to RAVE Gala, Rave Green Run, Strikes with Sounders, Donor events and Board meetings/events.
- Maintain professional membership and attend conferences and events. Stay current with community trends.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in community development, nonprofit or professional sports, preferred.
- Familiarity with the Greater Seattle area and its community landscape, including existing relationships a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate events, manage logistics, and execute community-focused programs effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for various audiences.
- Bilingual or multi-lingual skills strongly preferred.
- Experience with project management tools and design programs and software.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with a focus on deadlines and quality outcomes.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration and alignment with broader organizational goals.
- Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with design programs (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) for community engagement materials is a bonus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This role requires regular on-site presence at our Headquarters & Training Facility in Renton, WA, and attending matches at Lumen Field and events in community as needed.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must reside within Washington state upon date of hire.
- Must be able to facilitate own local travel.
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Responsibilities include regular work outdoors and may require standing on feet for long periods of time, as well as some lifting of up to 20 pounds.

The annual salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000. Base pay at time of offer will take into account job-related knowledge, skills and experience required for the role, internal equity and market.
