POSITION SUMMARY
The 1st Team Video Analyst will be responsible for aiding in the delivery of various high-level video analysis projects to provide technical and tactical insights to the 1st team coaching staff and players. The successful candidate will encompass a versatile set of skills across video and data analysis, and a deep tactical understanding of the game.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work in rotation with Head of Video Analysis and 1st Team Staff to scout and analyze upcoming opponents; select and annotate clips to deliver to players and staff
- Live code training sessions for player events
- Maintain a library of cataloged training sessions on Hudl platform
- Manage individual player clip libraries for player and unit review sessions
- Live-code matches in conjunction with Head of Video Analysis and offer in-game feedback to the technical staff
- Conduct post-match analysis and coding to maintain a library of principle and best-practice clips
- Provide specific analysis projects as directed by the 1st Team Staff
- Deliver insights through set-piece and goalkeeper analysis reports
- Work with Director of Analytics to provide video support for their data insights
- Liaise with PPP Coach to deliver video support of IDPs
- Other duties as assigned by Head of Video Analysis or 1st Team Staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in analysis at the International, professional, or professional academy soccer level is preferred.
- USSF/UEFA Coaching qualifications preferred.
- Experience with industry software or data providers such as the Hudl product suite, Angles, Coach Paint, Impect, etc.
- Excellent IT skills (Mac and PC) and knowledge of databases, SQL and reporting capabilities, and working with raw data files such as XML & CSV
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; experience building presentations and incorporating data to deliver insights to the 1st Team technical staff and players.
- Team-player attitude; Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.

- A passion for soccer and Sounders FC preferred.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish/English/Portuguese) or multi-lingual preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This position will work in-person from the Sounders FC Headquarters & training facility in Renton, WA.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must reside within Washington state upon date of hire.
- Must be able to facilitate own local travel.
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000. Base salary at time of offer is based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal equity, and current market conditions.
