POSITION SUMMARY

As Video and Motion Graphics Producer, you are a leader in creative storytelling and content innovation, bringing curiosity, accountability, and a high standard of excellence to everything you create. Through video, motion graphics, and photography, you elevate the Sounders brand at key moments across club channels, consistently delivering work that is thoughtful, polished, and impactful. You take full ownership of your projects - from concept through delivery - with clear follow-through and attention to detail. You collaborate closely across marketing, communications, and other departments, stepping in where needed to support shared goals and believing the strongest work is built together. You bring creative energy, adaptability, and a willingness to try new approaches, while staying aligned with the club’s brand, strategy, and audience. This role plays an important part in capturing and executing the club’s biggest moments - from matchdays to campaigns - with creativity, reliability, and pride in the work. You communicate clearly, value diverse perspectives, and bring a sense of joy and passion to storytelling that reflects the spirit of the game and our community.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Creative Strategy and Execution

  • Conceptualize, produce, and deliver impactful video and motion content aligned with the club's vision and audience trends.
  • Act as a creative lead for video storytelling, providing direction to ensure content remains innovative and aligned with brand objectives.
  • Push creative boundaries through use of motion design, implementing club’s visual brand into content streams.
  • Explore and integrate emerging tools for video editing, motion design, and content ideation to enhance creative workflows and elevate storytelling.

Motion Design

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to provide expertise on motion design implementation across campaign branding, paid advertising, broadcast content, matchday and additional club platforms.
  • Design and execute season long campaign motion graphics to be used across channels throughout season, ensuring alignment with the club's brand standards and creative vision. 

Matchday and Event Coverage

  • Support matchday coverage, capturing dynamic, behind-the-scenes, and in-game footage for compelling content across platforms.
  • Embed with team and tech staff for preseason camps, away matches, and additional MLS events throughout season.

Social Media and Digital Amplification

  • Develop platform-specific content for social channels, leveraging trends to create shareable, impactful content.
  • Collaborate with the social media team to deliver real-time content that drives fan engagement and audience growth.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Partner with marketing, sponsorship, communications, and fan development teams to create cohesive storytelling initiatives.
  • Align video projects with organizational goals, ensuring a consistent voice across all platforms and campaigns.

Other duties as assigned in support of our organization and affiliated clubs.

 

QUALIFICATIONS  

  • 4+ years of experience in video production, with demonstrated expertise in professional sports, collegiate athletics, entertainment, or a similarly fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to manage projects from concept to completion while meeting tight deadlines and maintaining a high standard of excellence.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop)
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects, prioritize effectively, and follow through in high-pressure situations.
  • Expertise with professional camera equipment (Sony preferred) and advanced post-production work flows.
  • Proficiency in creating video and motion graphics content for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Bluesky, and Facebook.
  • A self-starter with the ability to collaborate across teams, communicate clearly, and step in to support others when needed to achieve shared objectives.
  • Takes ownership and thrives in a fast-paced, occasionally ambiguous environment.
  • Curiosity and adaptability, with a willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and processes to continuously improve creative output and efficiency.
  • Strong organizational skills, reliability, and pride in producing work that reflects the club’s brand and values.
  • Creative thinker who brings fresh ideas, takes smart risks, and contributes meaningfully to cross-departmental initiatives.

  • You’re flexible and energized by a role that includes working home matches and traveling with the team to away matches, preseason camps, and league events throughout the season.

WORK ENVIRONMENT  

  • This hybrid role combines remote work with on-site responsibilities at our Headquarters & Training Facility in Renton, WA, home matches at Lumen Field, and select away matches
  • This role requires significant travel throughout the season and a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and is best suited for someone who enjoys being embedded with the team on the road.
  • Must reside within Washington state upon date of hire.  
  • Must be able to facilitate own local travel.  
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to carry, load and unload all necessary video/camera equipment – 25 to 50 pounds

Base pay at time of offer will consider job-related knowledge, skills and experience required for the role, internal equity and market.
