POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Designer is a key creative contributor responsible for bringing the Seattle Sounders FC brand to life through high-quality, thoughtful execution across multiple platforms and touchpoints.
This role focuses on delivering best-in-class design work—translating creative direction into polished, impactful outputs that support marketing objectives and deepen fan engagement. The Senior Designer operates with a high level of autonomy within defined projects, owning design execution from concept through final delivery.
Working closely with the Lead Designer and broader creative team, the Senior Designer interprets established creative direction and contributes to how ideas are expressed visually. They play an active role in refining concepts, strengthening visual storytelling, and ensuring all work aligns with brand standards and campaign goals.
The Senior Designer is accountable for the quality and craft of their own work, consistently delivering at a high level while contributing to a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Brand Creative Execution: Execute high-quality, brand-elevating design across digital, social, print, and environmental platforms—bringing established creative direction to life with strong craft, attention to detail, and visual consistency.
- Campaign & Content Development: Design compelling creative for integrated campaigns, social content, paid media, merchandise, and matchday moments. Contribute ideas and help refine visual storytelling to ensure work is engaging, relevant, and aligned with brand standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with teams across the organization—including Marketing, Digital & Content, Ticket Sales & Service, Corporate Partnerships, and Fan Engagement—to translate business needs into effective creative solutions and deliver impactful work.
- Creative Problem Solving: Take ownership of assigned projects, navigating feedback and evolving priorities to deliver strong creative solutions. Contribute thoughtful input on how work can be improved while maintaining alignment with established direction.
- Executional Ownership & Throughput: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering high-quality work on deadline in a fast-paced environment. Maintain strong organization and follow-through to ensure work is completed efficiently and at a high standard.
- Creative Standards Contribution: Contribute to raising the overall quality of work by sharing references, ideas, and feedback that help elevate the team’s creative output.
- Trend & Craft Development: Stay current on trends in design, sport, and culture, and continuously develop your craft—bringing fresh thinking and new approaches that elevate the team’s output.
- Matchday & Event Creative: Execute and support creative needs for matchdays, events, and activations—delivering high-impact, real-time content that reflects the energy of the club and enhances the fan experience.
- Quality & Brand Consistency: Ensure all work is accurate, on-brand, and executed to a high level of quality. Uphold visual standards and contribute to maintaining consistency across all creative outputs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated expertise in a professional graphic design role, preferably within sports, entertainment, or an agency setting.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Expertise in Figma.
- Proficiency in photo editing (Lightroom, CaptureOne).
- Experience with motion graphics (After Effects, Premiere Pro) is a plus.
- Knowledge of 3D design, AR/VR, or other emerging creative technologies is a bonus.
- A strong portfolio showcasing diverse and impactful design work across digital, print, and environmental mediums. Ability to demonstrate working within and building systems for brands and campaigns.
- Familiarity with project management tools (Wrike, Asana, Opal, or similar) to manage workloads effectively.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, receive feedback constructively, and contribute to a team-oriented creative environment.
- Thrives in fast-paced environments, handling multiple projects and shifting priorities with ease.
- Comfortable designing in a live, collaborative matchday environment supporting real-time content needs during matches.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This is a hybrid position working from home and from our Headquarters & Training Facility in Renton WA and matches at Lumen Field and events and meetings in market as needed.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must reside within Washington state upon date of hire.
- Must be able to facilitate own local travel.
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
COMPENSATION, BENEFITS AND PERKS
We offer competitive compensation and an engaging, supportive environment that prioritizes the health and well-being of our people. The annual salary range for this position is $85,000 and $90,000. Base salary at time of offer is based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal equity, and current market conditions.
