The Role
Oviva has been commissioned to provide a specialist Tier 3 weight management service for people living with complex obesity. We are looking for a Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our psychology and dietetics teams.
This is a clinical leadership role designed for a practitioner who is passionate about coaching and quality. You will maintain your own caseload while acting as a clinical mentor for the wider team. You will focus on upholding clinical excellence, guiding coaches through complex cases, and driving service improvements, without the responsibilities of direct line management.

Key Responsibilities

Championing Quality

  • Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to quality assurance processes within the Clinical Services team.

  • Clinical Assessments: Conduct spot checks and full QA assessments for coaches, providing constructive feedback to maintain high clinical standards.

Developing Team

  • Training & Mentorship: Collaborate on creating engaging training materials and sessions; provide expert guidance to coaches on all aspects of their role.

  • Onboarding Support: Mentor new coaches through shadowing and debriefing within the ACT coaching model to ensure a smooth transition.

Providing Clinical Excellence

  • Facilitate Supervision: Lead clinical discussions and supervisions, creating a collaborative environment for case reviews.

  • Specialist Guidance: Support coaches with complex patient cases and participate in Tier 3 MDT and BED-7 risk meetings.

  • Risk Assessment: Conduct Initial Consultations for patients with high BED scores, assessing risk and providing clinical expertise.

Driving Operational Efficiency

  • Performance Reporting: Complete weekly/monthly utilization and PF% reports to provide insights into program improvements.

  • Operational Leadership: Participate in Senior Coach working groups, act as a Duty Manager when required, and support CSMs with patient complaints.

  • Service Enhancement: Deliver patient webinars, present coach feedback to management, and manage the ACT task list to ensure patient care continuity.

About You
Essential

  • Qualifications: A qualified Clinical Psychologist (HCPC registered or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology).
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in weight management, bariatrics, or working with long-term health conditions and obesity.
  • Clinical Skills: Deep understanding of the issues facing people living with obesity, including weight stigma.
  • Communication: Able to provide supportive, non-judgmental, and expert feedback to colleagues.
  • Tech-Savvy: Confident using digital tools to record notes and support patient progress.

Desirable

  • Experience in eating disorders or diabetes.
  • Experience providing remote care via telephone or app-based platforms.

What We Offer

  • A mission-driven environment focused on making a real-world impact.

  • High-growth opportunities with a clear path to broader strategic leadership.

  • A flexible remote/hybrid work culture across the UK, Germany, Switzerland and Poland.

  • Annual learning & development budget.

  • Home working allowance and flexible working hours.

  • Competitive compensation, benefits, and inclusive policies (enhanced leave, etc.)
