Nous avons bâti une réputation qui se distingue avec des décennies d’expérience en tant qu’ingénieurs, chefs de projet, architectes, planificateurs et comptables dans l’analyse des retard et dommages en construction. Notre équipe est reconnue pour ses analyses claires et pointues des différends des plus grands projets à travers le monde, y compris des bâtiments notables, des infrastructures majeures, des centrales de production d’énergie et des projets pétroliers et gaziers.

C’est pour cette raison que notre équipe a été honorée en tant que Cabinet d’experts indépendant en construction de l’année 2023 par Who’s Who Legal.

RESPONSABILITÉS

  • Recherche et collecte d’informations
    • Examen de la documentation technique et non technique (échéancier, plans et dessins techniques d’ingénierie, rapports de suivi de projet, correspondance, données de marché, rapports météorologiques, données financières, etc.) pour identifier les détails clés, les problèmes et les métriques utilisés pour développer une compréhension robuste des enjeux clés du Projet.
    • Grâce à la recherche, développer une compréhension approfondie de toutes les informations pertinentes concernant les litiges relatifs aux projets de construction de grande envergure.
  • Analyse de données détaillée
    • Définition et mise en œuvre des méthodes et outils analytiques pertinents pour l’analyse de bases de données importantes.
  • Quantification des retards et des dommages
    • Mise en œuvre des méthodes appropriées pour évaluer les retards de calendrier et les dépassements de coûts des projets de construction de grande envergure.
    • Gérer de grands ensembles de données à l’aide d’Excel, Access et/ou Python pour l’analyse.
    • Production de livrables de synthèse claires présentant les analyses réalisées et les conclusions obtenues.
  • Aider à la préparation des propositions clients et à d’autres activités de développement commercial selon les besoins.
  • Gérer le temps de manière appropriée pour respecter les échéances strictes de nos clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Etudiant d’un baccalauréat en construction de bâtiments, en ingénierie ou dans un domaine connexe ; un master est préféré.
  • Expérience dans le domaine de la gestion de projet, de planification ou de contrôle des coûts est préféré.
  • Compétences solides en utilisation des outils logiciels pertinents : Suite MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Expérience avec les programmes de planification de la construction préférée (MS Project, Primavera P6, TILOS).
  • Expérience des réclamations, y compris l’arbitrage ou procédure a la cour, préférée.
  • Excellentes compétences écrites et verbales en français et anglais.
  • Capacité à communiquer des sujets techniques à une audience non technique.
  • Capacité à voyager selon les besoins (généralement moins de 15 % du temps, mais peut varier).
  • Compétences interpersonnelles solides et capacité à travailler en équipe.
  • Curiosité, créativité, souplesse de raisonnement et appétence pour la résolution de problème complexe.

ABOUT OUR CONSTRUCTION TEAM

When it comes to understanding the details that have an impact on costly and disruptive construction delays, we have built a reputation that stands above all with decades of experience as engineers, project managers, architects, schedulers, and accountants. Our team is trusted for their sophisticated delay and quantum analysis involved in the biggest projects developed around the world, including notable buildings, infrastructure, power & utilities, and oil & gas works.

That's why our team was honored as Who's Who Legal's Construction Expert Witness Firm of the Year for 2023.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research and fact-finding
    • Reviewing technical and non-technical documentation (construction schedules, blueprints and technical engineering drawing, reports, correspondence, market data, weather reports, financial data, etc.) to identify key details, issues, and metrics used to develop expert reports. 
    • Through research, develop keen understanding of all relevant information pertaining to disputes regarding largescale construction projects
  • Detailed data analysis
    • Review large datasets using multiple analytical methods and tools for efficient analysis
  • Quantification of delays and damages
    • Apply analytical methods to calculate schedule delays and cost overruns in largescale construction projects
    • Manage large data sets in Excel, Access for analysis and/or Python
    • Prepare detailed, comprehensive work product for incorporation into client deliverables
  • Assist with client proposals and other business development activities as needed
  • Manage time appropriate to meet strict client deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed Bachelor’s degree in building construction, engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Previous experience working in a relevant construction project management, scheduling, or cost controls capacity preferred
  • Strong skills using relevant software tools: MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access),
  • Experience with construction scheduling programs preferred (MS Project, Primavera P6, TILOS)
  • Experience with disputes, including arbitration or litigation preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal skills (ability to write and conduct business in French and English)
  • Ability to communicate highly technical material to non-technical audience
  • Ability to travel as needed (generally under 15% but may vary)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a member of a team
  • Flexible, creative problem-solving skills
