Responsibilities:

  • Research and fact-finding

    • Reviewing technical and non-technical documentation (construction schedules, engineering drawings, reports, correspondence, weather data, etc.).

  • Data analysis

    • Interpreting large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and ultimately the potential causes of cost and schedule overruns.

  • Quantification

    • Applying analytical methods to quantify the delays in largescale construction projects

  • Assisting with the drafting of expert reports for use in arbitration.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree engineering or a related discipline.

  • At least five years’ post-graduate work experience, in engineering & construction and ideally, at least one year experience in delay and programming expert witness services.

  • Excellent written English, Cantonese and/or Mandarin.

  • An understanding of the relevant industry protocols is preferred.

  • An aptitude for communicating complex, technical matters to a non-technical audience.

  • Ability to travel as needed (generally under 15% of the time but may vary).
