In this pivotal role, you'll immerse yourself in the intricate world of network infrastructure, orchestrating the planning, design, and implementation of ground breaking solutions. As a Network Engineer, your responsibilities span from primary network support, including VPNs, wireless, access security, datacenter switching, firewalls, to championing PCI compliance audits.
What you’ll do
- Provide primary support for the company's network, including but not limited to VPN, wireless, access security, datacenter switching, firewalls, and PCI compliance audits.
- Provide support for other business units
- Responsible for network design projects that identify, assess, and develop detailed requirements for upgrading existing organization networks
- Perform remedial maintenance for components of the network infrastructure including the restoration of hardware and software
- Anticipates and mitigates potential charges through network or other connections to ensure the security of the system
- On Call duties for immediate problem resolution
- Resolve network hardware/software issues. Performs sophisticated troubleshooting, backup, archiving, and disaster recovery
- Build and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks
- Promote and implement SPIRES - Security, Performance, Integrity, Reliability, Scalability.
- Setup and maintain work at home environment
- Backup and archive configuration of network devices
- Monitor and respond to network monitoring alerts
Why we will love you
- Maintain network monitoring tools (Orion, Splunk, IP Mon, Netflow )
- Windows' systems experience with some Linux
- Lead Network Authentication and compliance using Cisco ISE
- Solid grasp of data backing up standards
- Understand the issues involved with administering and maintaining organizations infrastructure, including network connectivity, Internet access, email, etc.
- Experience in leading end-user network access (Floor-level switching, wireless access, and VPN connectivity)
- Experience leading and implementing Layer 2 and Layer 3 switched network.
- Experience in Cisco, Palo Alto
- Experience in implementing and maintaining Palo Alto appliance based and virtual firewalls
- Handle network equipment inventory and software licensing
- Experience troubleshooting internet traffic, crafting traffic, and sophisticated HA/DR architecture
Work Environment
- Works full time with varying shifts, primary schedule may be between 9:00am – 6:00pm
- Flexibility to work Saturday, Sundays and holidays based on business needs
- On-call requirements to maintain network availability
Qualifications
- CCNP Certification
- 5 years Network-related work experience
- 5 years of experience working with the operating systems environment
- 3 years of experience in virtual switching/firewalls/servers
- Ability to successfully drive desired results in working with 3rd party vendors, particularly Cisco TAC, Palo Alto
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
