We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Director of Total Rewards and People Systems (HRIS Systems) to lead and evolve our compensation and benefits strategies while managing the systems that support our people operations. This individual will have a strong foundation in compensation structures, employee benefits, and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), alongside the creativity and innovative thinking necessary to push boundaries in these areas. The ideal candidate will be an influential leader who drives the vision for compensation, benefits, and HRIS strategy, is highly knowledgeable in industry best practices, and excels in managing and developing high-performing teams.

What you’ll do

Compensation & Benefits Strategy:

  • Lead a team to design, implementation, and management of compensation and benefits programs that align with the company’s strategic objectives and ensure competitive positioning in the market.
  • Develop and maintain equitable and attractive salary structures, bonus programs, and incentive plans to motivate and retain top talent.
  • Ensure benefits programs (healthcare, wellness, retirement plans, etc.) are competitive, compliant, and supportive of employees’ needs across various locations and demographics.
  • Conduct regular compensation and benefits benchmarking and analysis to stay ahead of trends and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with leadership to assess and address any compensation and benefits-related issues that affect employee engagement, retention, and overall satisfaction.

HRIS Systems Leadership:

  • Oversee the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of HRIS systems, ensuring they are efficiently supporting all HR functions, including payroll, performance management, and reporting.
  • Ensure effective system integration projects, data migration, and system upgrades while ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Partner with IT and other business units to drive innovation and improvements in HR technology solutions, enhancing data analytics capabilities and user experience.
  • Coordinate the efforts of subject matter experts on HRIS, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and work to streamline HR processes through automation and system enhancements.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead a high-performing team of HR professionals, ensuring alignment with departmental goals, and fostering a collaborative, innovative, and supportive work environment.
  • Mentor and develop team members, providing ongoing feedback and career development opportunities to help team members grow within their roles. Continuing the development of the next generation of people leaders is a key responsibility.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement within the compensation, benefits, and HRIS functions to ensure adaptability and responsiveness to the evolving needs of the organization.

Strategic Advisory:

  • Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on compensation, benefits, and HRIS matters, offering insights and recommendations to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Champion data-driven decision-making by providing actionable insights through HR analytics, ensuring the organization’s compensation and benefits strategies are informed by both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Provide strategic oversight to the payroll team, ensuring compliance, process efficiency, and cost management, while leveraging technology and data insights to optimize payroll operations and enhance the employee experience.
  • Partner with talent acquisition, HR business partners and other business leaders to design tailored compensation and benefits solutions that support employee performance and business objectives.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CCP, GRP, SPHR) a plus
  • 7+ years of experience in compensation, benefits, and HRIS management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Workday) and advanced proficiency in data analysis and reporting
  • In-depth understanding of compensation, benefits, and payroll practices, as well as labor laws and regulatory requirements
  • Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically to solve complex HR challenges and drive innovation
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
