Why you want this job
You will work with the Government Affairs team to assist with analyzing legislation, engaging in lobbying and delivering on company initiatives. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on corporate priorities and our state and federal legislative initiatives. You will work with stakeholders around the business to synthesize inputs to, articulate company positions on, and drive alignment around key policy positions in the regulatory and legislative realm. Along with exemplify the values of “Make Her Day” and “We Live for the Impossible” by providing exceptional service for all internal and external customers alike.
What you’ll do
- Represent the Government Affairs team and company in direct lobbying and oversight of legislative consultants on company initiatives
- Take primary responsibility for state lobbying in several states, which includes managing lobbyist consultants, political giving and public affairs campaigns
- Provide testimony to legislative committees on issues of concern to the company
- Deliver frequent communications and detailed analysis about policy and political topics to internal and external stakeholders
- Act as the primary company representative to national partner organizations (NCSL, ALEC, DLCC, RSLC)
- Organize special projects and political events with internal and external audiences
- Prepare meeting materials and advocacy collateral
- Coordinate with outside counsel on lobbying registrations and compliance
What you'll need
- Minimum of 3-5+ years government affairs experience
- Written and verbal problem-solving skills
- Organization skills: the ability to stay on top of multiple tasks and complete in a timely manner
- Consistently deliver high-quality professional customer service to internal and external customers with the ability to be personable
- Ability to take the initiative, work independently and accomplish tasks
- Integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
- Proactive approach in anticipating needs
- Bachelor's degree is required, graduate degree preferred

United States Remote Salary Range
$115,000 - $160,000 USD
