You'll be ensuring accurate financial processes and supporting company operations whilst working with a  highly supportive leader.

We are seeking a Finance & Operations Assistant to join our team in New York City. This is a hybrid role combining bookkeeping and financial operations support with general administrative and office responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working across a wide range of operational tasks that keep the business running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Operations & Bookkeeping:

  • Maintain accurate books and provide documentation to support corporate tax filings across jurisdictions.
  • Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions.
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and expense tracking.
  • Coordinate payroll and pension processing with external providers.
  • Support state-level compliance filings and related documentation.
  • Assist with financial forecasting and reporting for management.

Operations & Administration:

  • Support entity compliance and registration processes in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Help coordinate employee benefits administration (healthcare, pensions, etc.).
  • Liaise with external accountants and service vendors.
  • Assist with office administration and day-to-day operations in our New York location.
  • Provide ad-hoc administrative and operational support as needed.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, finance operations, or a related role.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office/Google Suite.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Professional discretion and ability to handle sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a startup, fintech, or high-growth environment.
  • Exposure to multi-entity or international operations.
  • Interest in expanding knowledge of compliance and operations
