About the role

Semgrep is leveraging its early success with its Channel ecosystem and strategically investing to scale partner-sourced and partner-closed business. We're seeking a true "builder" to join our Partnerships team, someone with proven experience collaborating with internal stakeholders to integrate Semgrep into strategic joint go-to-market activations. This role involves building and executing sales strategies with partners and evolving partnerships from ad-hoc to consistent revenue contributors.

We are looking for an experienced Channel Sales Manager who can build from the ground up and execute in the field partner reps. You bring hustle, grit, and creativity to solving problems and scaling solutions. You will play a crucial role in building a key growth engine for the company to continue scaling rapidly. Location expectations:

  • Our expectation is that this role will be fully remote, however, there is the expectation that you will visit partner reps in the field and at partner offices. Proximity to San Francisco or Los Angeles is a plus.

Prior experience in a fast-paced, tech environment in the DevSecOps space is helpful, but we are more interested in your drive for selling a cybersecurity solution and relationship building skills than your pedigree. What you’ll do

  • Expand Semgrep’s business opportunities with current VAR/Reseller partners
  • Identify and develop new VAR/Reseller partnerships for Semgrep.
  • Increase partner-sourced opportunities and deal registrations.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and sales operations teams.
  • Drive engagement, attendance, and enablement at customer and partner events.
  • Exhibit high energy, drive, and determination to build a world-class growth engine through partnerships.

You are ideal for this role if you have

  • 5+ years of Channel Sales experience
  • Success in working with customers and security partners in various sales roles at fast-growing startups
  • Strong skills in executive writing, speaking, communication, and presentation
  • Highly organized and proficient in creating and managing decks, data, and documents
  • Ability to travel as needed, up to 30%.
  • Proficient in Salesforce.com
  • Experienced in developing business plans and rigorously tracking KPIs
  • Skilled in building and scaling partner ecosystems from the ground up
  • A versatile player-coach, adept at both hands-on Channel Sales and strategic planning

Compensation

Our compensation package includes equity and benefits in addition to salary.

Please note that the range listed is for someone based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
