Position Description

Sensei’s Business Operations Manager is tasked with assisting the organization in staying on track to drive its business strategy toward its primary goals and objectives, as well as in facilitating the path of innovation and programming ideas to operational implementation and execution. This position will oversee the Innovation & Improvement Committee and Processes and is responsible for the execution of Sensei’s Innovation & Improvement strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices

From strategic decision-making to minute operational details, the Business Operations Manager combines comprehensive vision with a detail-oriented approach.

Responsibilities 

  • Oversees cross-functional projects or initiatives, tracking progress, and ensuring timely completion by bringing together various stakeholders and driving decision-making processes, ensuring that projects stay on track and align with the company's strategic goals
  • Facilitates communication across departments, driving strategic initiatives, overseeing key projects, and ensuring the smooth execution of the company's vision by acting as a liaison between leadership and various teams within the organization; essentially ensuring the executive's time and focus is optimized on high-level priorities while managing operational tasks effectively
  • Provides hands-on support to transform ideas into reality and monitor their progress.
  • Leads meetings and workshops with meticulous planning and coordination, keeping them focused
  • Assists with, and ultimately ensures, the completion of projects by the given deadlines
  • Identifies areas of improvement across the organization and makes actionable recommendations, pinpointing and addressing core issues within business processes.
  • Bridges gaps between silos, business units, or functions and provides input to strategic decisions
  • Assumes responsibility for planning, organizing, and executing projects of varying sizes and complexities
  • Gathers information, compiles and presents data to support informed decision-making, strategic planning and identifying areas for improvement within the organization
  • monitors and tracks performance goals and KPI’s for leadership team to evaluate performance and to drive continuous improvement. 
  • Oversees the Sensei internal knowledge libraries and other Sensei resources to ensure the content is up to date, organized, structured, easily accessible and actionable
  • Develops systems for organizing and retrieving knowledge from libraries efficiently, including tagging, indexing, and search functionality. 
  • Oversees various internal service areas that include administrative/office/ facility maintenance/space planning, equipment and supply procurement, vendor management, and others.
  • Prepares high-quality presentations, reports, and briefings for senior leadership and stakeholders as requested
  • Handles sensitive information with discretion and professionalism, maintaining confidentiality at all times
  • Leadership – Exemplifies Company values and supports Company and departmental objectives and interests for internal and external customers
  • Customer Service – Follows-up on complaints, questions, and concerns; responds to internal/external customer needs in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
  • Teamwork - Promotes teamwork and cooperation among co-workers

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience 

  • 10+ years of business experience
  • 10+ years in a senior leadership role
  • Bachelor’s degree

Required Technical / Other Skills and Abilities 

  • Strong organization skills with flawless attention to detail and follow-through skills
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information across levels  
  • Highly resourceful team-player with the ability to be effective independently
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and an eye for detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and project management tools.
  • Ability to influence and motivate teams without direct authority 
  • Understanding the bigger picture and aligning actions with overall business goals 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively 
  • Ability to Identify issues, analyze options, and implement solutions 
  • Ability to anticipate when assistance is needed by identifying issues and solutions before being asked.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and good judgment are expected. 
  • Strong project management and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experienced in working in a fast-paced environment with a proven ability to plan, prioritize, and organize effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem-solving ability, should be a “self-starter” who is inquisitive, intuitive, and multi-tasked oriented
  • Efficient and effective time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize competing obligations as required
