POSITION OVERVIEW
Sensei is seeking an on-call Cosmetologist who is an exceptional hair stylist, skilled in nails, hand, and foot care 
services including, but not limited to, manicures, pedicures, gel polish, hand and foot scrubs and wraps. 
Technicians will be expected to provide high-quality, luxury services to guests and will report to the Spa 
manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: 
• Provide consistent professional hair treatments, including specialty conditioning and full styling
• Remain up to date on hair treatment trends and research
• Provide high quality nail, hand, and foot care services to guests
• Recommend customized service options specific to guest needs
• Ensure that all equipment and supplies are set up prior to each service appointment and cleaned 
up after each guest and in excellent working condition
• Review and maintain an inventory of supplies and ensure enough supplies are available for 
treatments
• Be on time for shifts, prep time, be prompt with each appointment, and perform services within 
the appropriate time allotted for the service
• Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization
• Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervisor/manager
• Safety – Comply with established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training 
provided or made available by the Company
• Friendly demeanor, great smile, energetic, calm, and empathetic
• Able to make sound decisions when in a stressful situation
• Leadership – Maintain a positive, upbeat role, promote and exemplify Company values and 
represents departmental objectives and interests to internal and external customers
• Customer Service – Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns; respond to 
internal/external customer needs in a friendly, timely and efficient manner

provided or made available by the Company

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 3 years of hair stylist as well as nail, hand, and foot care experience in a luxury 
hospitality environment 
Required Technical / Other Skills and Abilities
Provide accurate and detailed descriptions of treatments, services, treatment contraindications, 
and more.
Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered. Be knowledgeable about chemicals and ingredients used in the work area. Friendly demeanor, 
great smile, energetic, calm, and empathetic
Able to make sound decisions when in a stressful situation.
Organized and able to prioritize. 
Must be able to operate equipment, including: an iPad, computer, hand radio, and be able to 
text message.
Must be able flexible hours and work weekends, and holidays.
Required Licenses/Certifications
Current Cosmetology license from the State of Hawaii. Currently residing on Lanai or the Hawaiian islands (required)
