ABOUT THE ROLE
Sensei Ag is seeking an experienced Work Order and Inventory Coordinator to support our greenhouse operations in Staples, Ontario. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy of work orders and production data during seeding, transplanting, and harvesting. The coordinator will maintain and update the ERP system, manage inventory of seedlings and plants, and provide ERP training. This position is key to streamlining workflows and ensuring reliable operational reporting.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Create and manage work orders for seeding, transplanting, and harvesting based on weekly schedules.
- Enter daily production data, including germination rates, lot numbers, and expiration dates, into the ERP system.
- Accurately input transplanting data, including numbers transplanted and cycle times.
- Manage inventory for seedlings and plants, ensuring accurate stock levels to prevent shortages.
- Maintain accurate harvest data and collaborate with the team to resolve discrepancies.
- Generate weekly production reports, analyzing trends and identifying issues for corrective actions.
- Train team members on ERP procedures for accurate data entry and usage.
- Act as the primary contact for ERP system issues and process improvements.
WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED TO APPLY?
- You have at least three (3) years of experience in data entry, production coordination, or inventory control, ideally in an agricultural or manufacturing setting.
- Diploma or degree in agriculture, business administration, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage and track inventory effectively.
- Effective communication and training skills for working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to analyze data and generate actionable reports.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus points if you have...
- Experience working in a greenhouse or agricultural environment.
- Knowledge of agricultural production processes, especially in a controlled environment.
- Familiarity with production planning.
- Experience in inventory control or warehouse management systems.
